About DriverScanner
DriverScanner is a powerful but easy to use application for quick and efficient driver updates. As Windows
requires driver-software produced by device manufactures to run practically every piece of hardware on
your system, the drivers you have installed have a big say on your computer’s level of performance.Unless
you update your drivers periodically, your computer will run at impeded performance with higher risk of
errors and conflicts.
Although drivers can be updated manually, identifying outdated or superseded drivers can take a long time.
Moreover, pinpointing just the right driver from the manufacturer’s website, then downloading and install-
ing it can be laborious and technically risky.
DriverScanner scans your system for outdated drivers and provides the latest manufacturer released drivers
for you to install with a single click. With the latest set of drivers installed, your hardware can run at its best,
with fewer errors and better performance.
With DriverScanner you can:
• Keepyouhardwareuptodatewiththeverylatestdrivers

3. Updatingdrivers
Updating drivers is easy with DriverScanner. To successfully install a driver, the program must be guided
through a three part process:
1. Scan
2. Driver download
3. Driverinstallation
We will now go through each process separately.
3.1 How to scan your system
Bydefaultandpriortoregistration,DriverScannerlaunchesascanautomaticallyuponstarting.Ifthescan
does not start automatically, click the Scan button from the Overview screen.
During the scan process, DriverScanner goes through your system hardware and finds appropriate system
drivers from Uniblue’s authoritative driver database. During this process you will see a progress bar with
textdescribingthesectionofhardwaremomentarilybeinganalyzed.
Once the scan has finished, the program will display as results a list of devices with outdated drivers. To start
the download process, click on the Download all button at the bottom of the screen.
3.2 How to download new drivers
Once you have clicked on the Download all button, DriverScanner will contact the Uniblue database
anddownloadthenecessarydata.Aprogressbarwillapproximatedownloadcompletionuntilthewords
“Download complete”appear together with a ‘very good’ tick.
At this stage, drivers will be listed one beneath the other. Clicking on the Install button will start a driver’s
installation process.

To install a downloaded driver, click on the word Install displayed in the middle column of the Update

ers unless you are an advanced user taking a considered decision.

back drivers on demand. DriverScanner will then install the new driver automatically and silently. A pop-up
will confirm a driver’s successful installation.

scan results. To do this, go to the Driver Scan page from the navigation panel. From the left hand side
menu, select Update drivers.Youwillndalistofdownloadeddrivers.Toomitadriverfromthenext
search results, click on the Ignore option from the right hand side.
