1.Keepbystandersandchildrenawayfromthe
operatingarea.
2.UseonlythebatterypackspeciedbyToro.
Usingotheraccessoriesandattachmentsmay
increasetheriskofinjuryandre.
3.Pluggingthebatterychargerintoanoutletthat
isnot100to240Vcancauseareorelectric
shock.Donotplugthebatterychargerintoan
outletotherthan100to240V.Foradifferent
styleofconnection,useanattachmentplug
adapterofthepropercongurationforthepower
outletifneeded.
4.Donotuseadamagedormodiedbattery
packorbatterycharger,whichmayexhibit
unpredictablebehaviorthatresultsinre,
explosion,orriskofinjury.
5.Ifthesupplycordtothebatterychargeris
damaged,contactanAuthorizedServiceDealer
toreplaceit.
6.Chargethebatterypackwithonlythebattery
chargerspeciedbyT oro.Achargersuitablefor
1typeofbatterypackmaycreateariskofre
whenusedwithanotherbatterypack.
7.Chargethebatterypackinawell-ventilatedarea
only.
8.Followallcharginginstructionsanddo
notchargethebatterypackoutsideofthe
temperaturerangespeciedintheinstructions.

III.Operation
1.Avoiddangerousenvironments—Donotusethe
toolinrainorindamporwetlocations.
2.Usethepropertoolforyourapplication—Using
thetoolforpurposesotheranitsintendeduse
couldprovedangeroustoyouandbystanders.
3.Preventunintentionalstarting—Ensurethatthe
switchisintheOFFpositionbeforeconnecting
tothebatterypackandhandlingthetool.Do
notcarrythetoolwithyourngerontheswitch
orenergizethetoolwiththeswitchintheON
position.
4.Operatethetoolonlyindaylightorgoodarticial
light.
5.Ifthetoolstrikesanobjectorstartstovibrate,
immediatelyshutoffthetool,waitforallmoving
partstostop,anddisconnectthebatterybefore
examiningthetoolfordamage.Makeall
necessaryrepairsbeforeresumingoperation.
6.Removethebatterypackfromthetoolbefore
adjustingitorchangingaccessories.
7.Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfromthecutting
areaandallmovingparts.
8.Shutoffthetool,removethebatterypackfrom
thetool,andwaitforallmovementtostopbefore
adjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringthetool.
9.Removethebatterypackfromthetoolwhenever
youleaveitunattended.
10.Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrect
powertoolforyourapplication.Thecorrect
powertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferatthe
rateforwhichitwasdesigned.
11.Donotoverreach—Keepproperfootingand
balanceatalltimes,especiallyonslopes.Walk,
neverrunwiththetool.
12.Stayalert—Watchwhatyouaredoinganduse
commonsensewhenoperatingthetool.Donot

usethetoolwhileill,tired,orundertheinuence
ofalcoholordrugs.
13.Ensurethattheventilationopeningsarekept
clearofdebris.
14.Underabusiveconditions,thebatterypackmay
ejectliquid;avoidcontact.Ifyouaccidently
comeintocontactwiththeliquid,ushwith
water.Iftheliquidcontactsyoureyes,seek
medicalhelp.Liquidejectedfromthebattery
packmaycauseirritationorburns.
15.Donotexposeabatterypackortooltoreor
excessivetemperature.Exposuretoreor
temperatureabove130°C(265°F)maycause
explosion.
16.CAUTION—Amistreatedbatterypackmay
presentariskofre,explosion,orchemical
burn.
•Donotdisassemblethebatterypack.
•Replacethebatterypackwithagenuine
Torobatterypackonly;usinganothertypeof
batterypackmaycauseareorriskofinjury.
•Keepbatterypacksoutofthereachof
childrenandintheoriginalpackaginguntil
youarereadytousethem.
IV.MaintenanceandStorage
1.Maintainthetoolwithcare—Keepitcleanand
ingoodrepairforbestperformanceandto
reducetheriskofinjury.Followtheinstructions
forlubricatingandchangingaccessories.Keep
handlesdry,clean,andfreefromoilandgrease.
2.Whenthebatterypackisnotinuse,keepit
awayfrommetalobjectssuchaspaperclips,
coins,keys,nails,andscrewsthatcanmakea
connectionfrom1terminaltoanother.Shorting
thebatteryterminalsmaycauseburnsorare.
3.Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfrommoving
parts.
4.Shutoffthetool,removethebatterypackfrom
thetool,andwaitforallmovementtostopbefore
adjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringthetool.
5.Checkthetoolfordamagedparts—Ifthere
aredamagedguardsorotherparts,determine
whetheritwilloperateproperly.Checkfor
misalignedandbindingmovingparts,broken
parts,mounting,andanyotherconditionthat
mayaffectitsoperation.Unlessindicatedinthe
instructions,haveanAuthorizedServiceDealer
repairorreplaceadamagedguardorpart.
6.Donotreplacetheexistingnon-metalliccutting
meansonthetoolwithametalliccuttingmeans.
7.Donotattempttoserviceorrepairthetool,
batterypack,orbatterychargerexceptas
indicatedintheinstructions.HaveanAuthorized
ServiceDealerperformserviceusingidentical
replacementpartstoensurethattheproductis
safelymaintained.
8.Storeanidletoolindoorsinaplacethatisdry,
secure,andoutofthereachofchildren.

boltuntilitisfreefromthehandle.
