INSTALLATION
This product should only be installed by a qualied person familiar with its operaon and associated hazards. The Naonal
Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical and safety codes, and when applicable, the Occupaonal Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
should be observed to reduce hazards to personnel and property. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING.
MOUNTING DIMENSIONS
1. The pump unit should be mounted on a at and level surface. The chemical supply level must be at least 6”
above the sucon check valve at startup.
2. Verify that the arrow on the end of the pump body is poinng straight upward and sucon check valve is
facing downwards for 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” plunger bodies (Shown to the right).
For 3/16” plunger bodies, verify bleed screw is poinng directly upwards and sucon check valve is
facing downwards.
3. Install the pump unit onto a rm base through the use of 1/4” mounng hardware using the six holes
provided in the Baseplate. Mounng hole locaons are shown above.
4. Typical installaons include the following:
A rate gauge or drum gauge to accurately set the injecon rate
Isolaon valves on the sucon and discharge lines
Line check on the chemical discharge line (i.e., Timberline model 24SV-6 check valve)
A lter/strainer on the uid sucon line to prevent trash from embedding in the seat O-rings
5. Install sucon and discharge line tubing and ngs per manufacturer’s recommendaons. Timberline
recommends using 3/8” tubing minimum for sucon and discharge lines. Sucon/Discharge connecons 1/4”

BEFORE INSTALLATION, REVIEW THE APPLICATION TO ENSURE THAT PROPER PUMP SELECTION HAS BEEN
PERFORMED. THIS SHOULD BE DONE AFTER READING THIS MANUAL AND ALL APPLICABLE SAFETY STANDARDS.
IF IN DOUBT, CONTACT YOUR LOCAL TIMBERLINE MANUFACTURING REPRESENTATIVE OR THE HOME OFFICE.
DETERMINATION OF SYSTEM FITNESS FOR PURPOSE OR USE IS SOLELY THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY.
LEAK HAZARD—PUMP MAY GENERATE PRESSURES IN EXCESS OF 10,000 PSI IN THE EVENT OF DEAD-HEAD OR
BLOCKAGE. A PRESSURE SAFETY VALVE SHOULD BE INSTALLED IN ALL APPLICATIONS ON THE PUMP DISCHARGE
LINE WITH RELIEF VALVE OUTLET PIPED BACK TO THE CHEMICAL SUPPLY TO PREVENT OVERPRESSURE OF
DOWNSTREAM EQUIPMENT.
