3:SAFETYPRECAUTIONS

WARNING!! Whenhandling Refrigerant, avoidskincontact;thelowboiling temperatureof

refrigerant(-30°C)cancausefreezing. Contactwithrefrigerantmaycausefrostbite, blindness

andotherseriouspersonalinjury.

IMPORTANT!! Atall timesitisrecommendedtowearsuitablepersonalprotective

equipmentPPE(Overalls, SafetyGlasses/gogglesandGloves).

Werecommendthatthisequipmentisusedbytrainedpersonnelonly,whounderstandthe

basicsofcooling systems,refrigerantsandpossibledamagethatpressurizedequipmentmay

cause.Itis mandatoryintheUKthattheOperatorisqualifiedinaccordancewithEC802-2006.

Carefullyreadtheinstructionscontainedinthismanualandstrictlyadheretotheprocedures

described. ThisisparamounttoOperatorsafety.

TheequipmentmustalwaysbeusedundertheOperator’scontrol.

Donotoperatetheunitwithanyrefrigerantotherthantheoneithasbeendesignedfor.(i.e.

R134AorR1234YF).

Beforeeachnewvehicleconnection,ensurethattheLP&HPhoseshavebeenpreviously

evacuatedandthatzeropressureisshownonbothgauges.

Avoidbreathing refrigerantvapours. Onlyoperatetheunitinwellventilatedareas, do notuse

whileworkinginavehicleinspectionpit.

Donotoperatenearopenflamesandhotsurfaces.Hightemperaturescauserefrigerantto

decompose, releasing hazardoustoxicandcausticsubstances.

Alwaysconnectedtheunittoa3pin,protectedandsuitablyearthed,mains240vACsupply.

Useoftrailing socketsandextensionleadsarenotrecommended.

Beforeconnectinganddisconnectingtheunit,ensurethatanyprogrammedoperationcyclehas

beencompletedandthatall valves areclosedtoavoidreleaseofrefrigeranttotheatmosphere.

Neverfillanytank, internalorexternal,withliquidrefrigeranttomorethan75%ofmaximum

capacity.

Avoidspillageanddripping. Cleanandmopup excess fluids.

ITISILLEGALtochargeasystemwithrefrigerant, tocheckforleaks.Alwaysuse(Oxygen

Free)Nitrogenforthispurposeduringtheappropriateprogrammedoperationcycle.

replacedwithoutchargesfor“Callout”or“Labour”withtheexceptionofinstances

referredtoasDisclaimersand Exclusionsortheunit ispurchasedand/oroperatedoutside

theUnitedKingdom.

ChargesforCallout,Labour,Calibration and,whereapplicable,replacementcomponents

recognizedby TENAutomotiveEquipmentLimited

4:If theauthorizedrepresentativeofTENAutomotiveEquipmentLimitedhasbeen

refused,orisunabletoaccess theequipmentbetweenthehoursof09:00 hrsto

17:30 hrs,MondaytoFridayinclusive.Inordertofollowupa“Requestfor

Service”undertheWarrantyAgreement.

5:IftheEquipmenthasnotbeenservicedorcalibratedby anAuthorized

RepresentativeofTENAutomotiveEquipmentLimitedataprearrangedinterval

necessarytocomplywithanEUDirectiveorany otherApprovalBody

mandatoryrequirement.

6:If TENAutomotiveEquipmentLimitedisnotaffordedtheopportunityto

diagnoseorrectifythefault orconditionthroughsimplediagnosticroutinesor

instruction, bytelephone, totheoperatororowneroftheequipment.
