1. Turn off thepowersupply. Using a10 , 10Wresistor, connect

bothendsofpowersupplycapacitors(C102-105, 127) inorderto

dischargethevoltage.

slowlyapplytheprimaryvoltagebyusing apowersupplyvoltage

controllertomake surethat theconsumedcurrentat 50/60 Hzin

3. Aboutthe Protection Circuitry

The protection circuitrymayhave operatedifeitherof the following conditions is noticed:

*Nosound is heardwhenthe poweris supplied.

*Sound stops during a performance.

The functions of this circuitryis to prevent circuitrydamage, forexample, the positive and

negative speakerconnection wires are “shorted”, orifspeakersystems with animpedande less

thanthe indicatedratedimpedance of thisunitare used.

Ifthis occurs, followthe procedure outlinedbelow:

1. Press theSTANDBY /ONbutton, switchtoSTANDBY mode.

2. Determinethecause oftheproblemand correct it.

3. Press theSTANDBY /ONbutton once again, supplythepower.

Note:

Whenthe protection circuitryfunctions, the unitwill not operate unless the STANDBY /ON

button is firstswitchedSTANDBYand thenON again.

Tooperate this unitSE-HDA710 normally, itis necessaryforconnecting with the unitST-

HDA710. / Whenoperating the unitSE-HDA710, be sure to connectthe unitST-HDA710 by

connection cable.

1. Connect withtheTuner(ST-HDA710). (Asshownin Fig. 1 )

2. Connect theACmainsleadtoAmplifier(SE-HDA710). (Asshown

in Fig. 1 )

3. Connect thespeakerstospeakerterminal. (Asshownin Fig. 1 )

4. Turn on thepoweroftheAmplifier(SE-HDA710).

5. Press INPUTSELECTORtoselect theexternal source (EXT/MD) of

theAmplifier(SE-HDA710).

6. Inputasound signal toexternal inputterminal ofTuner(ST-

HDA710), and confirm tobeoutputtedfrom thespeaker. (Every

ranges of“High“, “Mid“ and “Low“.)
