Set-up instructions
Connect your 4 input channels using balanced (XLR) cables.
Channels are labeled CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4. Connect your speakON terminals on 1+1-
contacts.
Connect your four speakers to the output speakON terminals: CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4.
Speaker wires can be terminated with S-link terminals, speakON terminals, or “banana
plugs” .
Please observe correct polarity (“+” red and “-“ black).
The amplifier can be turned-on automatically by signals. Once the signal feeds in, the ampli-
fier will be turned-on immediately. Without any signal input for over 5 minutes, the amplifier
will automatically turn off, entering “standby” mode.
Connect the power cord to AC INPUT and plug the other end into a 120-volt wall socket.
Press the round button on the face panel to power-on the amplifier.
Your PA4000DSP can also serve as a 2-channel or 3-channel amplifier, delivering greater
power to 2, or to 3 channels. This is done by “bridging.” For 2-channel operation, first,
TURN OFF THE AMPLIFIER. Then, set both LINK buttons to ON.
Connect your inputs and outputs to CH1 and CH3, then connect your speakON terminals
on 2+2- contacts. Up to 2500 watts per channel power will be delivered to OUTPUTS CH1
and CH3. Only turn on the amplifier AFTER these changes are made.
For 3-channel operation, first, TURN OFF THE AMPLIFIER. Then, set one LINK button to ON (left
one in this example) to BRIDGE. Connect your inputs and outputs to CH1, CH2 and CH3 (Connect
CH1 and CH2 output speakON on 1+1- contacts, CH3 speakON terminals on 2+2- contacts). Up
to 2500 watts per channel power will be delivered to OUTPUT3. Only turn on the amp AFTER
these changes are made.
You can also configure the amplifier for 2 inputs and 4 outputs.
First,TURN OFF THE AMPLIFIER. Then, set both LINK buttons to ON.

Connect your inputs and outputs to CH1 and CH3, then connect your 4 speakON terminals
on 1+1- contacts from the CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4 outputs. CH1 and CH2 outputs will
receive the same signal from the CH1 input; also CH3 and CH4 will receive the same signal
from the CH3 input. Only turn on the amp AFTER these changes are made.
Operation
Horizontal light on the front panel should be green. If there is no signal input for about 10
minutes, it will enter “breathing mode” in which the green LED pulsates.
Smart high-power Amplifier
To fully utilize the powerful performance of P series main speakers and subwoof-
ers, a high-power amplifier with strong driving force is essential. High power with
low distortion is often a contradiction. We need to ensure that the power amplifier
has low distortion while maintaining high power because clean reproduction with
extreme dynamics is our overriding objective. PA4000DSP is our flagship amplifier
to reach it. We matched its high power with sophisticated DSP functions: 4x4 input
and output matrix to freely control the signal path through software, and perform
input and output selection. Advanced EQ algorithms support FIR and IIR filters,
and optional frequency division mode.
