CAUTION

This manual contains important instructions that shall be

followed during installation and maintenance of the MLX

inverter.

NOTICE

BEFORE INSTALLATION

Check for damage to equipment and packaging. If in

doubt, contact the supplier before commencing instal-

lation.

WARNING

INSTALLATION

For optimum safety, follow the steps described in this

document. Keep in mind that the inverter has 2 voltage-

carrying sides; the PV input and the AC grid.

DANGER

DISCONNECTING THE INVERTER

Before starting work on the inverter, switch off AC at the

mains switch and PV using the PV load switch. Ensure

that the inverter cannot be unintentionally reconnected.

Use a voltage tester to ensure that the unit is discon-

nected and voltage free. The inverter can still be charged

with very high voltage at hazardous levels even when it

is disconnected from AC grid and solar modules. Wait at

least 5 minutes following disconnection from grid and

PV panels before proceeding.

NOTICE

The PV load switch can be secured in the ‘Off’ position

using a padlock (not part of delivery).

These servicing instructions are for use by qualified

the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do

so.

CAUTION

All persons installing and servicing inverters must be:

CAUTION

The temperature of the cooling racks and components

inside the inverter can exceed 70 °C/158 °F. Observe the

danger of burn injury.

The inverter is to be installed so that it is not expected

to be contacted by persons.

1 Fan Replacement Instruction

This guide describes how to replace a fan. 1 fan assembly

is supplied.

NOTICE

The fans cannot be replaced individually.

1.1.1 Remove the Fan

1. Loosen the 3 screws (TX 30) on the front cover.

2. Lift the cover 180°. A magnet enables the cover

to stay open. Refer to the MLX Installation Guide

for information on how to open and close the

inverter.

3. Release the 2 black cables providing power to the

fans: 1 on the outer right-hand side, 1 on the

outer left-hand side. See Illustration 1.1 for

location of cable and (1) in Illustration 1.2 for

removal of black cable connector. It is important

to release the snaps before removing the cables.

4. The fans are located at the underside of the

inverter. Release the 4 screws (TX 20) holding the

fan assembly. See Illustration 1.3.

5. Remove the fan assembly. See (1) and (3) in

Illustration 1.4.

1.1.2 Install New Fan

1. Put the 2 black cables through the holes at the

underside of the inverter, 1 on each side. See (3)

in Illustration 1.4.

2. Place the new fan assembly. See (2) in

Illustration 1.4. Pull the cables inside the inverter

while pushing the fan assembly. Tighten the 4

screws (2.5 Nm (22 in-lbf)).

3. Click the 2 plugs of the 2 fan cables in place. See

Illustration 1.1 and (2) in Illustration 1.2.

4. Close the front cover.

5. Tighten the 3 front screws (1.5 Nm (13 in-lbf)).

6. Turn on AC at the mains switch and PV using the

PV load switch.

spannungsführende Bereiche verfügt: den PV-Eingang

und das AC-Netz.

GEFAHR

TRENNUNG DES WECHSELRICHTERS

Schalten Sie vor Beginn der Arbeiten am Wechselrichter

das AC-Netz am Netzschalter und die PV über den

eingebauten PV-Trennschalter (DC-Lasttrennschalter) ab.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät nicht versehentlich

wiederangeschlossen werden kann. Überprüfen Sie

mithilfe eines Spannungsprüfers, dass das Gerät

abgeschaltet und spannungsfrei ist. Auch bei freige-

schalteter AC-Netzversorgung und abgeschalteten

Solarmodulen kann der Wechselrichter nach wie vor

unter gefährlicher Hochspannung stehen. Warten Sie

nach jeder Trennung vom Stromnetz und von den PV-

Modulen mindestens 5 Minuten, bevor Sie fortfahren.

Der PV-Trennschalter kann in der „Aus“-Stellung mit

einem Vorhängeschloss gesichert werden (nicht im

Lieferumfang enthalten).

Wechselrichtern betraut sind, müssen:

Richtlinien zur Installation vertraut sein.

VORSICHT

Die Temperatur der Kühlelemente und Bauteile im

Wechselrichter kann 70 °C/158 °F überschreiten. Es

besteht Verbrennungsgefahr.

Der Wechselrichter ist so zu installieren, dass eine

Berührung der heißen Bereiche durch Personen nicht zu

erwarten ist.

1 Anleitung für den Austausch des Lüfters

In dieser Anleitung wird beschrieben, wie ein Lüfter

ausgetauscht wird. 1 Lüftereinheit wird bereitgestellt.

HINWEIS

Die Lüfter können nicht einzeln ausgetauscht werden.

1.1.1 Ausbau des Lüfters

1. Die 3 Schrauben (TX 30) an der Frontabdeckung

lösen.

2. Die Abdeckung um 180°anheben. Die

Abdeckung wird durch einen Magneten in der

geöffneten Position gehalten. Informationen zum

Öffnen und Schließen des Wechselrichters finden

Sie in der MLX Installationsanleitung.

3. Die zwei schwarzen Kabel lösen, die die Lüfter

mit Strom versorgen: 1 rechts außen und 1 links

außen. Abbildung 1.1 zeigt die Position der Kabel

und (1) in Abbildung 1.2 zeigt, wie die Steckerver-

bindung der schwarzen Kabel abgezogen wird.

Vor dem Entfernen der Kabel ist es wichtig, die

Schnappverschlüsse zu lösen.

4. Die Lüfter befinden sich an der Unterseite des

Wechselrichters. Die 4 Schrauben (TX 20) lösen,

die die Lüftereinheit fixieren. Siehe Abbildung 1.3.

5. Die Lüftereinheit herausnehmen. Siehe (1) und (3)

in Abbildung 1.4.

1.1.2 Einbau des neuen Lüfters

1. Die zwei schwarzen Kabel durch die Öffnungen

an der Unterseite des Wechselrichters führen, 1

an jeder Seite. Siehe (3) in Abbildung 1.4.

2. Die neue Lüftereinheit einsetzen. Siehe (2) in

Abbildung 1.4. Die Kabel im Inneren des Wechsel-

richters ziehen und dabei die Lüftereinheit

andrücken. Die 4 Schrauben (2,5 Nm) festziehen.

3. Die 2 Stecker der 2 Lüfterkabel einrasten lassen.

Siehe Abbildung 1.1 und (2) in Abbildung 1.2.

4. Die Frontabdeckung schließen.

5. Die 3 vorderen Schrauben festziehen (1,5 Nm).

6. Das AC-Netz am Netzschalter und die PV über

den eingebauten PV-Trennschalter einschalten.

AVERTISSEMENT

INSTALLATION

Pour garantir une sécurité optimale, observer les étapes

décrites dans ce document. Garder à l'esprit que

l'onduleur possède 2 côtés sous tension : l'entrée PV et

le réseau AC.

DANGER

DÉCONNEXION DE L'ONDULEUR

Avant d'intervenir sur l'onduleur, couper l'alimentation

AC au niveau de l'interrupteur secteur et l'alimentation

PV en utilisant l'interrupteur PV. Veiller à empêcher tout

rebranchement accidentel de l'onduleur. Utiliser un

testeur de tension afin de vérifier que l'appareil est

débranché et hors tension. L'onduleur peut toujours être

chargé avec une très haute tension, à des niveaux

dangereux, même lorsqu'il est déconnecté du réseau AC

et des modules solaires. Après déconnexion du réseau et

des panneaux PV, attendre au moins 5 minutes avant de

continuer.
