WARNING
Electric Bikes can be dangerous to use. The user or consumer assumes all risk of
personal injuries, damage, or failure of the bicycle or system and all other losses or
damages to themselves and others and to any property arising as a result of using
the bicycle. As with all mechanical components, the bicycle is subjected to wear
and high stresses. Different materials and components may react to wear or stress
fatigue in different ways. If the design life of a component has been exceeded, it
may suddenly fail possibly causing injuries to the rider. Any form of crack, scratches
or change of coloring in highly stressed areas indicate that the life of the compo-
nent has been reached and it should be replaced.
For replacement parts, technical information and warranty assistance,
SAFETY
Helmet:
Always wear an approved helmet while riding your SS Ebike and follow the helmet
manufacturer’s instructions for fit, use and care of your helmet.
Mechanical Safety Check:
Check the condition of your SS Ebike before every ride. Make sure no nuts, bolts or
fixings are loose, with particular attention to the axle nuts and handlebar stem.
Make sure the tires are correctly inflated with the recommended air pressure that is
located on the side wall of every tire. check the brakes for proper operation.
Your First Ride:
When you buckle on your helmet and go for your first ride, be sure to pick an area
away from cars, other cyclists, obstacles or other hazards in order to become famil-
iar with the controls, features and performance of your new SS Ebike.
Additional Passengers:
The SS Ebike is designed for one passenger only. DO NOT carry any additional
passengers on the front or rear of the bike.

IMPORTANT!!!
1.Turn bike off before dismounting. There is a chance if the bike is left on, and you
are walking it, that the pedals can move, engaging the powerful electric motor. This
results in the bike “flipping”. Be sure to shut the bike off when walking it, before
you walk it.
2.Tires will loose air pressure over time. Check your tire pressure everytime you
ride. Keep inflated to 65 PSI.
3.Be sure when making fast tight turns your feet are not extending out in front of
the pedals. In some instances, your foot may hit the front wheel on a hard turn if
your foot extends too far forward.
4.When riding at higher speeds, be more aware as things will happen faster!
The SS Ebike is designed with a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds.
TURNING ON
1.Turn battery on. On the bottom of the battery, there is an off/on switch. Make
sure it is in on position. – is on.

2.Turn power on. Depress On Button until it lights up. – (straight line) is on.
5
3.If the battery is fully charged, all four green lights will shine.
4.When power is demanded, the LED’s on the battery gauge indicate instantaneous
line voltage as measured at the battery terminals-NOT the available energy in the
battery pack. Under a load, the line voltage will drop, and the green indicator lights
will reduce.
When power is disengaged, the green LED’s on the display will indicate the voltage
of the battery pack. The voltage will rise when no load is on the motor. The best
indication of how much battery life is remaining is to check the throttle LED’s after
reaching cruising speed, o a flat straight road, as this will allow the battery voltage
to stabilize and give a much more accurate reading.
NOTE: BIKE IS SHIPPED WITH A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY

6
PEDAL ASSIST / THROTTLE CONTROL
Select pedal assist powersetting, low, medium, or high. As you pedal, the power
will kick in, experiment with the different settings.
The throttle control is operated on the right hand side. You control the throttle by
twisting it from its resting position. The farther the throttle switch is from its resting
position, the more power is delivered to the motor to accelerate the bike. When you
want to slow down, you simply release the throttle and let it return to its resting
position and simultaneously apply the brakes. The SS Ebike also comes with a
Throttle Override function which allows the throttle to work in pedal assist modes.

7
BIKE CARE
Periodically clean your SS E-Bike with a damp cloth. Avoid spraying the bike with a
water hose to avoid electrical issues. Store your bike in a dry shelter area away
from direct sunlight and wet or damp environment. It is also recommended to
apply chain lube (such as Tri-Flow or ProLink) to the drivetrain of your bike when
you clean it or wipe it down to keep it in good running condition.
FAQ’s
How fast does it go?
The SS has a top speed of 20 MPH without pedaling. Of course it will go faster if
you peddle. The 36 volt battery pack and high torque geared hub motor means you
go from 0-20 MPH rapidly but the bike is limited to a 20 MPH top speed. This makes
the bike “legal”, no registration, insurance, or license is needed to operate it.
How far can I go? What is the distance I can go on a single charge?
There are many variables that effect range, hills, rider weight, road surface, wind
resistance, air pressure in the tires, and speed. We experience 20-25 miles per
charge on the flats, no pedaling. The more you pedal, the less power the motor
consumes, and the longer you will travel. With pedal assist on low power, you can
achieve a 40 plus mile range.
How does the bike handle hills?
Performance on hills depends on the steepness of the hill and the weight load on
the bike. While you will zoom right up most hills, In some instances, people will
need to use both the pedal and the motor to go uphill. The bike does surprisingly
well on hills.
How much power does it have?
The SS has a 350 watt gearless hub motor, that is equivalent in power to a profes-
sional cyclist.

8
How do you control the motor?
The SS is equipped with both a throttle and a pedal sensor. You can use either
system to control the speed of the electric motor. If you want to cruise without
pedaling the thumb throttle can be used. If you enjoy pedaling and want to feel
more like you are riding a regular bike (with an awesome silent electric motor) you
can use the pedal sensor.
What are the running costs for the SS Ebike?
You will have no worries about rising fuel prices at the pumps. All our electrically
powered vehicles use household electricity. The average cost per full charge is
about 10 cents per charge. If you charge the battery every single day for a year, it
would cost you about $35 per year.
What happens if I get a flat tire?
The tires on our bikes are the same as conventional bicycles. Simply replace the
tube with a tube of the right size and inflate it. No special tires or parts will be
needed.
Does the battery have a memory effect?
No. The battery has no memory effect unlike other battery chemistries meaning
you can charge your battery after each and every use, even if you just take a spin
down the block. The battery is completely self managing and the charger stops
automatically when the battery is fully charged.
How long does it take to charge the battery?
On average the battery takes 4-6 hours to charge with the included 2 amp charger.
Do I have to wait for the battery to empty before I charge it?
No. The batteries we use are Lithium-ion batteries which do not suffer from
‘memory effect’. This means that there is no need to discharge a battery completely
before you recharge it again. You can partially recharge the battery at any time
without reducing its voltage or lifespan. We recommend recharging the battery
after every use, regardless of how far you rode.
How do I know when the battery is low?
The SS has easily visible indicators that show the amount of juice left. If it is get-
ting low and you don’t think you will make it to your destination, you can switch off
your motor and keep it just for the difficult bits.

9
Do I have to pedal?
No. There is both a throttle and a pedal assist system. You can pedal and the elec-
tric motor will kick in and provide you with assistance, and there is also a thumb
throttle that will override the pedal assist and allow you to ride the SS more like a
motorcycle, only silent! The level of pedal assistance will determine how much
boost power the motor provides based on your peddling input. Level 1 will be just a
little and level 3 will get you moving like a pro cyclist. The throttle is always
0-100% power depending on how much you twist.
Is it street legal?
Electric bikes that only go 20 MPH under power only are considered bicycles and
can be used in the same way as a pedal only bicycle in most locations, no license,
insurance, or registration is required.
What is the maximum rider weight?
We’ve tested the bike up to 250lbs, we cannot make any guarantees about perfor-
mance or durability above that weight.
How much does the bike weigh?
The bike weighs approximately 33lbs without the battery, 39 pounds with the
battery.
How much does the battery weigh?
The battery weighs 6 pounds.
How loud is the electric motor?
The motor is extremely quiet, one of the quietest available on an ebike.
What type of motor does the bike come with?
We use an ultra quiet free spinning brushless geared hub motor which is highly
efficient with proven reliability.
Is the battery removable?
Yes, the battery can be removed for storage, charging, and safety reasons, in
seconds.
Can someone steal the battery?
A key is required to remove the battery to prevent theft.
