Unpacking
1. Verify shipping damage has not occurred. Contact SimXperience immediately with pictures if you observe
shipping damage and do not open the package! If the package is too badly damaged an insurance claim will be
filed and a new unit shipped. You should also consider refusing
the delivery at this juncture.
2. Remove metal straps from package with heavy duty scissors or
tin snips. BE VERY CAREFUL when doing this as the straps have a
lot of tension and can harm you or someone close if you’re not
careful. It would be wise to wear eye protection to be safe.
3. Once the straps are removed, you can open the box to expose
the GS-5 and components.
4. Carefully remove the seat and components. Everything will be
plastic wrapped together and then bolted to a 24”x24”piece of
wood.
5. First carefully remove the two zip ties holding the cables in place
(image right) with wire cutters or scissors. Be very careful not to
cut into or damage the cables. Set cables aside.
6. Remove the plastic wrap by hand. If you use a knife or box
cutter, you could damage the seat.
7. Separate all the components and then remove the 4 nuts from
the carriage bolts that attach the GS-5 to the 24”x24”plywood
sheet that was used for packaging. (Image Below Right)
8. Using a 10mm Socket or Wrench and Crescent wrench, remove
the two bolts that attach the aluminum shipping bracket. (shown in picture below).

4
9. Remove 6 attached nuts and bolts from the
back of the GS-5 (#8) to install the Headrest
(#9).
10. Install Headrest #9 using the same 6 nuts and
bolts from that you removed from GS-5 (#8).
Do not overtighten!
11. Remove Torx screws from upper GS-5 (#8) modules per image below using Torx Key (#1)
12. Locate upper panels (#7) and install using the same Torx screws you removed in step 8 with Torx Key
(#1). Tighten 8 screws per diagram (4 per panel) and do not over tighten.

5
13. Mount the seat where you will be using it with the supplied mounting bracket or optional Stage Series
Hardware. For Stage Series installation, see additional instructions that are located in the bag with the
hardware. See diagram below for usage of supplied bracket.
14. Place GS-5 Controller (#5) within reach of the GS-5 based on the cable length.
15. Plug in the USB Cable (#2) and the Power Cable to the GS-5 Controller (#5). Do not plug into wall or PC yet.
16. CAREFULLY Connect the 4 cables from the GS-5 (#8) to the GS-5 Controller (#5) with two connectors that look
like this:
WARNING: Please take note
of the 10 gold pins on the
smaller port. Incorrect
installation of these connectors
could create functionality issues.
Be careful to properly insert
them.

6
17. Carefully connect the smaller connector first Be VERY careful to properly insert it. Note the placement for the
tab (arrow below)
18. Then plug in the larger connector and make sure the clasp at the top locks and that both are firmly connected.
19. Now plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and the USB cable into an available USB port on your PC.
20. Last step is to install the seat cover. Carefully slip the seat cover over the GS-5. It can stretch, so you can work it
around the headrest. Once in place, press the 7 buttons / snaps together around the cover.
