USE
Before First Use
1. Unpack the grill. Before disposing of packaging, make sure no components are left
inside. Make sure the grill is not damaged.
2. Remove all stickers and labels.
3. Wash the external surface of the grill and the grill plates with asoft, slightly wet
sponge. Wipe dry.
4. Remove the drip tray and wash it in warm water with some dish detergent. Rinse
with clean water and wipe dry. Reinstall the tray.
We recommend rst burning in the grill by running it dry at full power for about 5
minutes. There may be some smoke and odor during burn-in; this is normal and
should not appear in later use. Allow the grill to cool down, then clean it as described
below under “Cleaning and Maintenance”.
Automatic Grill
1. Place the grill on adry, clean, rm, heat-resistant surface within reach of the mains
socket. Make sure the grill is placed sufciently far away from heat-sensitive and
ammable materials, and follow the safety instructions.
2. Make sure the grill is closed and the drip tray is installed correctly.
3. Fully unroll the power cord. Lay the power cord so that it does not touch the grill,
which heats up during use, or other heat sources such as electric or gas stoves.
4. Plug the power cord into the mains; the grill will sound achime and the control
panel will light up briey, then dim again, leaving only the on / off button lit.
5. Short-press the on / off button. The POWER indicator will light up and the READY
indicator will begin ashing, indicating the grill is warming up. Warm-up lasts
about 8 minutes.
Note:
During warm-up, we recommend setting the top plate clearance to LOW
and closing the lid, to reduce warm-up time and thermal load on the grill
plates.
6. Once READY glows green, the grill is ready for use.
7. Open the top plate by the handle and place your ingredients on the grill plate.
Carefully close the top plate. For thick pieces such as steak, set the top plate
clearance to HIGH; for thin cuts, sandwiches, etc., set clearance to LOW.
8. Press the button for the desired automatic grill program. The selected button will
light up.
9. Use +/– to select rarity: RARE, MEDIUM or WELL DONE. The selected
rarity’sindicator will light up. Press OK to conrm.
10. The timer display will begin counting down from the default grilling time– see the
“Automatic Grill Program Table” below.
11. Once the timer runs out, the grill will chime three times and power down; only the
on / off button will remain lit.
12. Open the top plate by the handle and remove the food from the grill plate. Only
use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils. Metal utensils, knives, forks, etc. may
scratch the non-stick coating and damage the grill. We recommend using oven
mitts.
13. When not using the grill, keep it unplugged from the mains. Allow the grill to cool
down fully, then clean it as described below under “Cleaning and Maintenance”.
