Before rst use
Toensurethatyourrstcupofcoffeepreparedinthiscoffeemachinetastesasexpect-
ed,werecommendrinsingtheappliancebeforeusingitforthersttime.Theproce-
dureisasfollows:
• InserttheleverwithportalterintotheapplianceundertheLOCKmarksothatthe
protrusionsontheholdertintothesteamhead.Turnthelevercounterclockwise
totheCLOSEpositiontolockeverything.
• Place the cup on the grille under the funnel.
• Connecttheappliancetoelectricityandswitchitonwiththeon/offswitch(z. The
appliancebeepsandtheindicatorsonthecontrolpanelstartashing,indicating
that the appliance is heating up.
• Oncetheheatingiscompleted,thebuttonindicatorswillbelitcontinuously.Press
thebuttontomaketwocupsofcoffee( ).
• Anamountofwatercorrespondingtotwocupsofespressowillowthroughtheappliance.
Cleaning the nozzle:
• Placeasuitablydeepwatercontainerunderthenozzletocatchthesteam.The
nozzleshouldbesufcientlyimmersedinthecontainer.
• Afterpreheating,pressthebutonforcreatingsteam( ).Theindicatorashes,
indicating that the steam unit is heating up. As soon as the indicator is lit
continuously,itispossibletostartdispensingsteam.
• Turn the steam control knob to position / .Allowwatertoowfromthenozzle
untilthewhitepreheatindicatorgoesout(approx.1minute).Afterwards,returnthe
knob to the original position OFF.
Making espresso
Toprepareacupofgood,hotespresso,werecommendpreheatingtheappliance,including
thelever,portalterandcup,sothatthetasteofthecoffeeisnotaffectedbythecoldparts.
• InserttheleverwithportalterintotheapplianceundertheLOCKmarksothatthe
protrusionsontheholdertintothesteamhead.Turnthelevercounterclockwise
totheCLOSEpositiontolockeverything.
• Place the cup on the grille under the funnel.
• Connecttheappliancetoelectricityandswitchitonwiththeon/offswitch(z. The

ismarkedby1-cup,whilethelterfor2espressoismarked2-cup.
• Tampthecoffeethoroughlywithatamper.
• Put the lever back in the appliance and start making coffee using the button for
makingoneortwocups( nebo ).
• Oncethecoffeeisreadyyoucanturnoffthemachineusingthe(z)switch.
Making cappuccino (using amilk frother)
Whenmakingacappuccino,rstpreparetheespressoaccordingtotheinstructionsin
thepreviouschapter.Afterheatingthebrewingunit,thetemperatureoftheboileris
toohighforthepreparationofcoffee,whichwouldnegativelyaffectitstaste.
• Placeasuitablydeepcontainerwithmilkunderthenozzle.Thenozzleshouldbe
sufcientlyimmersedinthecontainer.
• Pressthesteambutton( ).Theindicatorashes,indicatingthatthesteamunit
isheatingup.Assoonastheindicatorislitcontinuously,itispossibletostart
