OPERATION
The automatic battery charger is sold in two different executions according to the battery voltage.
The device is built from first class components and green LED to inform that, when lighted, the
battery charger is operating.
BATTERY CHARGER OPERATING
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Input voltage : 230 Vac +/- 15% or 400 Vac +/- 15%
Mains frequency: 50 Hz - 60 Hz - + / - 10%
Battery voltage: 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc (specify with order)
Current output: electronic. limited (5/8 A Max)
Operating Temperature: from - 20°C to + 80°C
In case of permanent short circuit across output terminals the device cannot be damaged.

INSTRUCTION FOR INSTALLATION
1) Connect Mains Voltage to input terminal: (0 - 230 -400 Vac) of battery charger.
2) Connect the "POSITIVE BATTERY" output directly to positive battery terminal.
3) Connect the "NEGATIVE BATTERY" output directly to negative battery terminal.
Use cable with minimum 2,5 smmq section.
INSTRUCTION FOR SETTING
The battery charger is supplied set for charging lead batteries at a level of 2,18V for element,
in automatic charger.
AUTOMATIC CHARGER (2,18 V / ELEMENT)
If this value is not extractly what is needed, proceed as follows:
1) Connect positive and negative battery tarminals to the battery charger.
2) Connect a multimeter to battery charger’s output terminals:
it should indicate a DC voltage around 13V for a 12V device around 26,2V for a 24V battery
charger (rated values).

3) If the setting is to be changed, adjust the potentiometer which can be reached through the
printed circuit perforation, and set correct value.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
The battery charger is not re-charging.
Remember that green LED is off only Mains is on.
Thus check :
a) For relevant voltage on terminals 0-22Vac or 0-30Vac
b) For relevant input voltage on transformer tereminals 0-230V / 400V
c) Check for continuity between battery negative and positiva outputs and the battery itself
