BracketInstallation
Theinstallationbracketsaredesignedwith
aseriesofholestoallowformany
differentmountingconditions.Mount
bothleftandrightbracketsintheupper
insidecornersofeachwindow.Setthe
frontofthebracketsothatitprojects1/4”
intotheroom(infrontofthedrywall).
Thisallowancewillallowthevalance
returnstofitsnugglyagainstthedrywall.
Thedoorsoftheinstallationbracketsare
intendedtoopenfromthefrontandswing
upward.

Iftheblindwasorderedasan“Outside
Mount,”thefactoryhasmadetheitem
exactlytotheorderedsize.
BracketInstallation
Theinstallationbracketsaredesignedto
workforwallmounting.Useaminimum
oftwoscrewsthroughthebackplateof
eachbracket,onebeingplacedinan
upperhole.Makesurethisupperscrewis
firmlyimbeddedintothewallframing.
BasswoodandFauxwoodhorizontalblinds
tendtobeheavyandinstallationbrackets
requiresecurefastening.Bracketsalso
canbemountedontotrimormolding
aroundthewindows.Ifyouareinstalling
intoahollowwall,you’llneedtopurchase
theappropriatehollowwallanchors.Seek
theadviceofanexpertatyourlocal
hardwarestore.
Plantocentertheoutsidemountblindon
thewindow,allowingequalextension
beyondthewindowedgeonbothsides.
Bracketsshouldbeplacedaminimumof
2‐1/2”abovewindowopeningfor
BasswoodandFauxwoodhorizontal
blinds.

wall,duetowindowcranksorother
objectsofthisnature,spacerblocksare
provided(ifrequested)fortheinstallation
andcentersupportbrackets.
CenterSupports
Iftheblindisover49incheswide,
centersupportshavebeenfurnished.
Centersupportsaretobespacedatno
morethan30inchesapart.Installcenter
supportssothattheydonot
interferewithanyliftcordsorslat
ladders.Forinsidemount,thebackplate
oftheinstallationbracketsshouldbe
mountedatthedistanceout,fromthe
backofthewindow.
