care and usage your new Hearing System will provide years of outstanding
performance.
By choosing this hearing system, you have taken the single most important step
to beer hearing. But it is also important to recognize that your new hearing
instruments are just the rst step in the beer hearing process. e next step
requires that you remain commied to wearing your hearing instruments and
carefully follow the counsel and guidance of your hearing care professional.
To assist in ne-tuning the instruments to your special needs, be sure you:
• Wear your instruments faithfully
• Document what you experience, and
• Communicate your experiences to your hearing care professional.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Open the Baery Compartment Door by gently swinging it into the open
position.
Remove the tab from a new #312 size baery.
Place the new baery in the Baery Compartment Door with the positive (+)
or at side up as shown in Figure 4 .
Click the Baery Compartment Door closed as shown in Figure 5.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
When the instrument detects a low baery condition, you will hear a series of
tones every few minutes. e paern will continue until the baery is depleted.
BATTERY INFORMATION
Your Hearing Instrument uses one #312 baery. We recommend using
zinc air baeries.
DO NOT place baeries in the refrigerator or in a dehumidifying device, as the
baeries could leak and damage your hearing system.
A word of caution about baeries:
BATTERIES CAN BE HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED
.
Be sure to keep baeries out of reach of small children, animals or persons of
diminished mental capacity. In the event a baery is accidentally swallowed, seek
prompt medical aention at the nearest emergency center, or call the National
Buon Baery Hotline at (202) 625-3333.

TURNING YOUR HEARING SYSTEM ON / OFF
Your Hearing System is automatically on whenever the Baery Compartment Door
is closed. To turn your Hearing System o, simply open the Baery Compartment
Door. Always leave the Baery Compartment Door open when not in use.
NOTE:
Your hearing device may be programmed with a power on delay. is delay allows
time for you to insert the device before it turns itself on.
Make sure you ask your hearing care professional if your device is programmed
with a power on delay.

CONTROL SWITCH
If your Hearing System is programmed with dierent seings, simply press the
Control Switch located at the back of the processor (see Figure 6) until you hear
audible tones or beeps which will conrm the seing you have selected.
Seings are programmed by your hearing care professional for your individual
needs, so it is important for you to understand how your hearing system is
programmed.
ADJUSTING VOLUME CONTROL
If your Hearing System is equipped with a volume control, scroll up with nger for
louder volume and down for soer. (See Figure 7)

INSERTING YOUR SPEAKER LINK
Lubricating the easy-CLICK Tip (not needed for open style or custom
earmold).
Lubrication of the easy-CLICK tip on the speaker link is recommended
to ensure a good seal and to facilitate insertion into the ear. Lubricate the
mushroom cap of the tip with a small drop of lubricating gel, as shown in Figure
8. Be careful not to allow any of the gel to penetrate the speaker opening.
• Blue speaker indicates left ear.
• Red speaker indicates right ear.
Hold the speaker link near the speaker with your thumb and forenger on a
vertical plane (see Figure 9). Both the thumb and forenger should be facing
downward and gently insert the easy-CLICK tip into your ear canal.
Next, position the sound processor behind your ear as shown in Figure 10.
If your instrument is equipped with a Sports Lock, place into your ear as shown
in Figure 11.
