This premium installation kit is
for
select Harley Davidson Road Glide & Street Glide motorcycles
Included are all the parts you need
to
mountyour carstereo
or
CD playerinto yourbike's dash. Refer
to
the individual instructions in this manual
to
remove your factory radio and assemble the kit.

DISCONNECT THE CYCLE1S NEGATIVE BATTERY.TERMINAL BEFORE THE INSTALLATION TO
HELP PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF A VOLT/OHM METER
OVER A TEST LIGHT TO
CHECK
WIRING. A TEST LIGHT OR GROUNDED WIRE PROBE CAN
CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CYCLE•s COMPUTER
AND/OR
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS.
PREPARATION:
• Work on a clear level surface • Place bike on kickstand with wheel tilted toward the leaning direction
• Use felt
or
soft cloths
to
cover and protect painted surfaces

0 Drape a protective cloth over the front fender.
Carefully lift away windshield,
store
in
a safe location and
replace the middle Torx bolt for
support during the remaining
removal steps.
Extract

T-27 Torx bolts from
bottom edge
of
windshield.
Extract

T-27 Torx bolts from outer
side
of
the fairing (under mirrors).

T-27 Torx bolts from
inside the fork tubes (facing
forward).

REMOVAL

While supporting
the
outer

fairing, remove
the
middle
windshield bolt, lift away and
unplug headlight to remove
fairing shell. Store fairing in a
safe place until re-assembly.
Extract
(2)
1,4'' 6mm hex
bolts from each side
of
the radio housing.
Unbolt and remove inner fairing support
brackets from each side (3/16" hex &
T-25 Torx screws) Note
that
the
Torx
screw is also a shared speaker screw.
Carefully
back
the
radio
out
of
the
fairing, unplug wiring
connectors, antenna and
remove
the
radio.
NOTE: Reuse the
(4)
factory bolts
to
mount
the
HD7000B
kit (see page
6)
.

Extract

T-25
Torx
bolts
from
bottom
left and
right
sides
of
the
fairing.
Remove the metal strap under
the nuts, and push the studs
out
to remove the signals.
CAUTION: Do not let turn
signals drop
or
dangle.

Use a 7
/16"
socket
or
box
wrench to remove
(2)
nuts that
hold the each turn signal at the
lowerfairing.
Extract
(2)
T-25 Torx
bolts from outer left
and right sides
of
the
fairing.

STEREO
REMOVAL
Carefully lift fairing at
headlights
to
release
support hooks, unplug
headlights and remove.
Store fairing
in
a safe place
until reassembly.
NOTE!: Be sure
to
reattach support hooks
during reinstallation.
Have a helper hold on the outer
fairing and extract the last

T-25
Torx bolts from the upper fairing
nearthe speaker grilles.
Extract
(2)
W'
6mm hex
bolts from each side
of
the radio housing.
Carefully back the radio out
of
the fairing, unplug wiring
connectors, antenna and remove the radio.
NOTE: Reuse the
(4)
factory bolts
to
mount the
HD7000B
kit (see page
6).

1. Locate the locking mechanism on your
DIN
stereo sleeve
{typically) on the side.
2. Slip mounting sleeve towards rear
of
stereo
and remove {Figure
1).

1. Attach the 7423 and 7424 side brackets
to
the 7422 front
panel using the hardware supplied with the kit (Figure
2).
2. Remove supplied trim ring and sleeve from new stereo.
3. Slide new stereo into kit from rear and fasten within the kit's
brackets using the ISO hardware provided with the stereo.
NOTE: If hardware is not included with aftermarket stereo,
reuse factory hardware.

NOTE: Due to variances
in
motorcycle manufacturing, the
HD7000B
dash kit includes a strip
of
Neoprene gasket material for optional use. Ifyou experience a gap around the perimeter
of
the faceplate then use the supplied adhesive backed gasket strip to seal the space.
