UNINSULATED “DANGEROUS VOLTAGE” WITHIN THE PRODUCT ENCLOSURE THAT MAY BE OF A SUFFICIENT MAGNITUDE TO CONSITUTE A RISK OF
ELECTRIC SHOCK TO PERSONS.
THE EXCLAMATION POINT WITHIN AN EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE, IS INTENDED TO ALERT THE USER TO THE PRESENCE OF IMPORTANT OPERATING AND

9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two bla-
des with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The
wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet,

position it without protection in a dusty environment
Be sure that the main voltage does not exceed the value indicated on the back panel
Do not use the device if the main cable or the plug aren’t in a perfect condition (if necessary, replace it)
If the main cable has to be replaced, the operation must be carried out by qualied personnel. Replace the cable
exclusively with one that is an exact substitute
In order to avoid interference, do not install the device close to power transformers, TV sets, RF transmitters, electric
motors or any source of electric energy
Do not point microphones against speakers: this could generate annoying whistles (Larsen effect) that cause damage
In order to avoid unpleasant and costly inconveniences, use only original connecting cables
To completely disconnect this apparatus from the AC mains, disconnect the power supply cord plug from the AC socket
When cleaning, do not use solvents (e.g. acetone or alcohol). These could damage the external nishing and the

INTRODUCTION
TEDDY is Schertler’s latest generation compact stage monitor.
Specially designed to be the perfect on-stage partner, TEDDY provides the performing musician
with 200W of power, without taking any of the limelight: the monitor’s sleek shape and “low
prole” enables it to be placed close to the performer for maximum audibility, without creating a
visible obstacle for the audience.
TEDDY features a coaxial speaker for constant sound directivity, with a specic inclination angle
that makes it ideal for both standing and seated performances.
The monitor’s intuitive control panel includes a single Sensitivity knob (rather than a common
volume control) for adjusting the signal level from -9dB to +6dB. This enables ner regulation of
the signal sent from the mixer. The EQ switch provides two pre-shaped curves for adjusting the
sound, while the Ground Lift switch protects the signal from unwanted ground noise.
XLR input and output connectors allow a chain of several monitors to be created – all connected
to the same audio signal path.
Like all latest generation Schertler ampliers, TEDDY is fully analog.
PRACTICAL ADVICE
When you are using an amplied speaker, one of the most important recommendations is to
avoid at all costs a distorted input signal.
In other words, when you are controlling the sound on your mixer (or any other preamplier), you
must avoid reaching saturation level.
In the case of amplied speakers, the arrival of a distorted signal (square wave) may damage the
internal amplier beyond repair, which may in turn damage the loudspeakers.
Correct use of speakers guarantees their long life.
