IMPORTANT USE AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Carefully read all information contained in this manual. Failure to respect this information could cause
electric shocks, fires, accidents and injuries.
Protect devices from electric and electrostatic discharges.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY OF WORKING AREA
• Always keep the working area clean and well lit. Untidiness and poor lighting may cause accidents.
• Do not use the provided devices in environments with risk of explosion, in presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Sparks could ignite dust or gases.
• Keep children and other people away while the product is being used. Distractions could cause loss of control
of the product or of accessories contained in the kit.
• Important! Do not use the kit while driving in order to protect yourself and others from accidents.
• Important! If you are using the kit onboard while driving, only look at the LCD monitor of the system when the
vehicle is at a standstill.
• Important! Always check that the monitor or camera bracket is well fixed in the correct position before use.
• Important! Do not place the monitor or camera onboard in the range of action of air bags.
WARNING!
Do not use cameras and probes on moving vehicles and/or machinery with moving parts.
PERSONELL SAFETY
• Important! Pay attention to what you are doing and be careful in handling any kind of kit devices while
working.
• Never use the kit when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcoholic beverages or pharmaceuti-
cals. A small distraction while using the kit may cause severe accidents.
• Always wear personal protective clothing, protective eyewear and gloves when submerging probes in
liquids.
• Wearing personal protection clothing, such as non-slip safety footwear and chemical- resistant gloves, reduces the
risk of accidents.
• Avoid incorrect posture.
• Make sure you are in a safe position and well balanced in all situations, so to be able to
better control the endoscope in case of unexpected situations in this manner.
• Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose fitting clothes, bracelets or chains.
• Keep your hair, clothes and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or
long hair may get caught in moving parts.
• Keep kit devices away from children when not in use. Do not let use the devices to people who are not
adequately trained or who have not read these instructions. Inspection operations may be dangerous if carried
out by people who are not suitably experienced.
• WARNING Probes may become hot by contact with heat sources. Handle with gloves.
• The mirrors connected to the probes may gather residues of liquid after immersion. Always
wear gloves to remove mirrors and beware of sprays.
• Warning! Always remove residual liquid and substances from the surface of the probe after each inspection.
Chemical mixture resulting from consecutive immersion in different liquids may generate explosions, harmful gases
or fire.
VEHICLES: Make sure that the vehicle is not moving during the inspection.
Metals and liquids may be boiling hot.
Do not put devices into direct contact with oil or petrol.

ELECTRIC SAFETY
• Do not handle the device with wet or damp hands.
• Important! Never open the casing of devices and kit components.
• Important! Do not expose kit components to powerful sources of heat or excessive cold.
Components could be damaged and functionality could be compromised.
• Avoid physical contact with surfaces ground connected such as tubes, heaters, electric cookers and refri-
gerators. The risk of electric shock is higher when the body is connected to ground. Have an electrician carry out
an inspection if you suspect a tube may be energized.
• Important! Devices (outside 17mm probe) are not watertight. The 17mm probe is watertight but not to acid,
oil, corrosive liquid and it is not fire resistant.
• Do not submerge devices in water to avoid risks of electric shock or damage.
• Do not insert endoscope probes in zones subject to the risk of electric shock.
• In case of condensation, do not use the devices until evaporation process is completed.
• Important: do not use other different battery chargers to those provided with the kit.
• Do not use the supplied power supply units for powering other products than those included in
the kit.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED ON BATTERIES
This product uses batteries. Incorrect use of batteries may cause loss of liquid, breakage or other problems. Always
follow the below precautions when using batteries:
• Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Batteries could break or loose liquid, causing explosions and
damages.
• Check polarity (+/-) when installing batteries and install them correctly in the battery compartment as shown.
• Do not use different batteries from those specified.
• Do not use old and new batteries or different types of batteries at the same time.
• Do not put new batteries in contact with clips, coins, nails, screws or other small metal objects which could cause
shorting on contacts. Short-circuit on contacts of the battery could cause burns or fire.
• If liquid leaks out from the battery, please properly clean the battery compartment before inserting new batteries.
• Protect your hands and eyes accurately during this operation.
• If battery liquid gets in contact with your eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water without rubbing and call
a doctor straight away.
• Battery liquid on body and clothes could cause skin injuries and burns. If this occurs, immediately rinse with plenty
of clean water and call a doctor straight away.
• Remove batteries from the slot if you do not plan on using the unit for a long time.
WARNING!
Do not heat or disassemble the batteries. Do not throw them in fire or water. Batteries could break or
loose liquid, causing explosions and damage.

Battery (not included) installation and replacement
WARNING!
Make sure your hands are dry before installing and replacing batteries.
To install and replace batteries correctly:
NOTE:
Replace batteries following the instructions when the power battery warning lights starts blinking continuously.
Flexible probe connection to handgrip
The bayonet connector of the probe must be aligned with the handgrip engagement slot to connect the 5.5 or 17
mm probe and microscope to the handgrip. Join them by inserting the connector and then tighten the ring on the
handgrip coupling to ensure correct closing.
After having connected the handgrip and turned it on, turn the on/off roller to adjust the probe LED brightness. In
order to avoid a sudden break down of connections, make sure that the rings are firmly fixed. By fixing them do not
make pressure on the cable and on the probe tube near the ring.
Probe extension installation
First align the bayonet connector with the engagement slot on the handgrip to connect the extension tube. Insert
the connector by pressing it lightly and then screw the ring of the handgrip to close it correctly. Repeat this procedu-
re with the other end of the extension to attach it to the probe.
Monitor installation on handgrip
The monitor may be fitted on the handgrip or used separately to ensure good image visibility also
when the camera needs to be oriented or used in small spaces. For correctly installing the monitor on the handgrip:
a) Turn the handgrip upside down to expose the battery slot.
b) Unscrew the screw of the battery slot
c) Remove the battery compartment slot
d) Remove the battery slot and insert the 4 new AA batteries in the box.
e) The correct orientation of the batteries is shown in the battery compartment.
f) Refit the battery compartment slot and screw it again
1. Align bayonet connectors.
2. Insert connector.
3. Tighten the ring.
Warning: Make sure you are tightening or losing the ring only.
1. align the connection areas and slide
the monitor downwards to fix it to the instrument.
