Using the Procaster

• The Procaster is a broadcast-grade end-address

microphone, and for optimum results you should

address the microphone at a distance of no more

than 5cm (2”).

• The Procaster comes complete with a microphone

stand mount (RM2) which should be used to attach

the microphone to a good quality stand.

The stand mount includes a thread adaptor

allowing connection to either 3/8” or 5/8” stand

threads.

Alternatively the PSM1 shock mount and PSA1

studio boom arm is optionally available to isolate

the microphone from external vibrations.

• Always use a high quality microphone cable and

ensure that it is wired Pin 1 shield, Pin 2 (+), Pin 3 (-).

• After use the Procaster should be wiped with a dry,

soft cloth and placed in its protective zip pouch.

• An absorbent crystal pack is supplied with the

Procaster.

This should stay in the zip pouch at the head of the

microphone when not in use to prevent any build

up of moisture. When the crystals turn pink, they

can be dried out in an oven at 100 - 150 degrees

celsius for approximately ten minutes. Once they

turn blue they can be reused.
