FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR RAD9021 RADIATOR AND OIL COOLER GUARD
DUCATI PANIGALE V4, V4S, SPECIALE 2018-
THIS KIT CONTAINS THE ITEMS PICTURED AND LABELLED BELOW.
DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL YOU ARE SURE ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT.
Please note that the way the kit is packed does not necessarily represent the way of mounting to the bike.
Please note that in cases where kits are packed with rubber washers holding the components onto the bolt –the
rubber washers should be thrown away!
THE PARTS SHOWN MAY BE REPRESENTATIVE ONLY (FOR CLARITY OF INSTRUCTIONS ONLY).
TOOLS REQUIRED
•Set of metric Allen keys.
•8mm spanner
•Liquid lubricant.
MAXIMUM TORQUE SETTINGS
•M4 Bolt = 8 Nm
•M5 Bolt = 12 Nm
•M6 Bolt = 15 Nm
•M8 Bolt = 20 Nm

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
•Remove the 2 tank cover panel bolts from both sides of the bike arrowed in picture 1. Pull the panel up gently
until the locating pins release.
•Remove the bolt shown in picture 2 from the bottom of the nose.
•Remove the bolts arrowed in pictures 3 and 4 from underneath the lower fairings.
•Remove the radiator shroud bolt shown in picture 5 from both sides.
•Remove the rear fairing bolts from the right and left sides of the bike as shown in pictures 6 and 7 respectively.
•Remove the 3 lower to upper fairing bolts arrowed in picture 8 from both sides of the bike. The lower fairing can
be removed from both sides at this stage by gently separating it from the radiator shroud.
•Remove the bolts shown in pictures 9 and 10.
•Slide the black inner fairing panel (previously secured with the bolts in pictures 9 and 10) forwards until the
clips disengage. To release the clip at the front, pull the black cover marked with the red arrow in picture 10 in

the direction indicated by the arrow while simultaneously sliding the inner fairing panel forward. Repeat this for
the inner fairing panel on the other side.
•Remove the 2 bolts arrowed in picture 12 from both sides.
•Remove the bolt arrowed in picture 13 from both sides.
•Pull the main fairing away from the radiator shroud as shown in picture 14 and away from the nose as shown in
picture 15.
•Remove the main fairing, to do this pull gently on the edge of the fairing by the fuel tank to release the Velcro
and plastic locator indicated in picture 16. Repeat this for the main fairing panel on the other side.
•Remove the bolt shown in picture 18 from both sides.
•Remove the fairing infill panel, to do this pull gently on the front of the panel in the direction indicated in picture
19 to disengage the front locator. Next pull gently in the direction indicated in picture 20 to release the rear
locator. Application of a liquid lubricant will make this process easier. Repeat this for the fairing infill panel on
the other side.
•Remove the allen key stud shown in picture 21 from both sides.
•Remove the bolt shown in picture 22 from both sides. There is an 8mm bolt on the back of the bolt which will
need to be held in place with a spanner.
•Remove the 2 bolts shown in picture 23 on the radiator shroud from both sides.
•Cut the cable tie shown in picture 24 on the upper left side of the radiator shroud bracket.
•Using a flathead screwdriver lift the clip shown in picture 25 away from the radiator shroud. If the clip won’t
move cut the cable tie that connects it to the wire.
•Remove the 8mm nut arrowed in picture 26 from both sides, the metal sleeve that the nut tightens against can
also be removed at this stage.
•Remove the 3 bolts arrowed in picture 27 on the right side of the bike.
•Removing the radiator shroud may be easier with a second person and will require repetition of the following
processes until the radiator shroud is free to move.
•Apply liquid lubricant to the rubber grommets indicated with a white arrow in pictures 28 and 29.
•Pull down on the bottom radiator shroud bracket as shown by the red arrow in picture 28 until the rubber
grommet slides over the locating boss on the bottom of the lower radiator.
•Pull up on the top radiator shroud bracket as shown by the red arrow in picture 29 until the grommet slides over
the locating boss on the top of the upper radiator.
•The radiator shroud will now be able to slide forward along the threaded bosses that the nut was removed from
in picture 26.
•The radiator shroud should be placed over the front wheel as shown in picture 30, take precautions to ensure the
threaded bosses that secure the two radiators together do not damage the radiator cores (a piece of soft material
pressed over the end of each boss will suffice).
•Cut the included self-adhesive foam into 10mm strips and apply to the radiator guards as shown in pictures 32
and 33.
•Fit the included cable ties to the radiator guards as shown in pictures 31, 32 and 33. Do not overtighten them at
this stage and leave the lower radiator cable ties unfastened.
•Slide the boss of the lower radiator through the mount on the lower radiator guard as shown in picture 34 and
cable tie in position as shown in picture 35.
•Cable tie the upper radiator guard in position using the upper mounting bosses as shown in picture 36 and 37.
Make sure to hold the radiator guard flush against the core when tightening to ensure the cable ties are not
overtight.
•While holding the upper radiator guard in position as shown in picture 37 refit the radiator shroud as shown in
picture 38. To do this slide the threaded bosses through both radiator mounting brackets and then refit the upper
and lower grommets to the upper and lower locating bosses.

•Make sure the radiator shroud is correctly fitted on both sides and that all cable ties securing the radiator guards
are sufficiently tight.
•Replace the 2 cable ties that were cut to remove the wires at the upper left side of the radiator.
•Replace the fairings in the reverse of the order they were removed.

warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other than those in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it
has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality and suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other
services it shall exercise reasonable skill and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is
responsible for ensuring that the warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G
shall at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified or used or
maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if the defect arises from accident
or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for
indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service
concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.
R&G RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if they were purchased direct
from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods must be in re-sellable condition, in the opinion of
R&G. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the gross value exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The
customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No returns of discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your
statutory rights and does not refer to faulty goods.
