risks of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer
cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension
cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable
power-supply cord or extension cord should be at
least as high as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it
can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if
necessary.
Before the First Use
Carefully unpack the 3-in-1 Coffee Maker, Tea Steeper &
Hot Water Dispenser and remove all packaging materials.
You may wipe the warming plate with a clean, damp cloth.

7
Do not immerse the warming plate in water or any other
liquid.
To remove any dust that may have accumulated on the
removable parts during packaging, wash the carafe, lid,
filter basket and tea infuser with warm, soapy water. Rinse
and dry. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers.
NOTE: We recommend that prior to brewing your first pot
of coffee, tea or hot water, you “brew” cold water only,
without ground coffee or tea. This will remove any dust
that may have settled inside the appliance.
IMPORTANT: Use only cold water – the automatic
brewing system has been designed to work only with
cold water.

Using Your 3-in-1 as a Coffee Maker
1. Place your 3-in-1 on a flat, dry, level surface, such as a
countertop. Plug the unit into a 120 volt 60 Hz AC-only
outlet.
2. Insert a paper cone shape filter (No. 2) into the
removable filter basket or use the included permanent
mesh coffee filter. You can use this filter in place of a
paper filter. To clean the mesh filter, rinse it under warm
water.
3. Place the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter.
See the chart below to determine the amount of coffee to
use. Your 3-in-1 includes a bonus 1 tablespoon scoop to
assist in scooping the perfect amount of coffee.
NOTE: We recommend using coffee ground specifically
for automatic drip coffee makers. After using your 3-in-1
as a coffee maker a few times you may adjust the amount
of coffee to suit your own taste.
