1. Detach the white base from the coloured toothbrush
holder.
2. Plug the micro-USB cable into the white base and
recharge with any device that has a USB connection
(e.g. computer or plug).
1. CHARGING
Please charge your Playbrush fully before using it for the rst time, usually taking a
few hours.
Constant green light:
Fully charged and ready to
start playbrushing.
Blinking red and green:
Playbrush needs charging.
3. Look at the light colour:
Blinking red:
Playbrush is charging.
Once fully charged, re-attach the white base and coloured toothbrush holder, making sure all
3 arrows are aligned.
2. ASSEMBLING PLAYBRUSH
Insert your manual toothbrush, taking care to align the 3
arrows with the head of the brush. The bristles of the brush
should be facing the same direction as the arrows.

3. TURNING IT ON
Playbrush uses its motion sensors to turn on and o.
To turn Playbrush on, rmly shake twice vertically
as indicated, and the green light will begin to blink.
Your Playbrush is now ready to connect. (If it blinks
green and red then Playbrush needs charging.)
Your Playbrush will go into sleep mode automatically aer
being inactive for 1 minute. To reawaken, just move your
Playbrush. Your device will not lose power whilst in sleep
mode, so we recommend using sleep mode for day-to-day
use.
To turn Playbrush o, shake twice again vertically, and the
light will no longer blink.
5. DOWNLOADING
Search ‘Utoothia’ on the App Store or Play Store and
download one of our various games. Your smartphone or
tablet must meet the following minimum requirements:
Apple: iPhone 4S / iPad 3 and iOS 8.
Android: Android 4.4 KitKat with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Kindle: 4th Generation Kindle Fire HD (2014) and Fire OS 4.
HELPFUL TIP: For younger children, we recommend starting o with our game
‘Utoothia Sky’.
4. TURN BLUETOOTH ON
To use Playbrush, your smartphone/tablet needs to
support Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth Smart,
Bluetooth 4.0, BLE). Please turn on Bluetooth now.
NOTE:
To connect Android phones to Playbrush via Bluetooth, please grant the
permissions requested by the app.(1)
(1)In Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), Playbrush does need you to grant permission to access your location, but the permission is
only for Bluetooth to work. Playbrush does not access your location.

6. FUN TOOTHBRUSHING
Launch a Playbrush game and follow the in-app instructions
to connect your Playbrush. Once connected, Playbrush will
start ashing green. We recommend brushing twice a day and
we can’t wait for you to begin your fun toothbrushing journey
to great dental health!

Playbrush Connection
Please check that Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet is turned on.
Ensure location permissions are granted in the app for all Android 6.0 users.
If you are still having connection issues, uninstall the app, turn Bluetooth o and on and
reinstall the app.
Brushing Accuracy
The 3 arrows need to be correctly aligned with the toothbrush head.
Charging
Your Playbrush should be fully charged and the green light is visible. If it blinks red and
green, Playbrush needs to be charged.
Playbrush blinks red when you charge it. If it doesn’t, you may need to reboot your
Playbrush. To do this, charge for 1-2 minutes, remove the USB charging cable, and then
plug it back in and charge for 12 hours.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation.
No changes shall be made to the equipment without the manufacturer’s permission as this may void the
user’s authority to operate the equipment.

SAFEGUARDS AND WARNINGS
The natural playfulness and temperament of children may result in unforeseeable situations and dangers

Playbrush, draw their attention to potential dangers and keep children under supervision at all times.
Playbrush GmbH doesn’t accept any liability of any kind for accidents resulting from the use of Playbrush.
Warning! Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. Choking hazard.
• When undergoing treatment of any oral care condition, consult your dental professional prior to use.
• Playbrush works with almost all manual toothbrushes but bigger toothbrush handles could expand
the elasticated head.
• Use only for intended use and don’t put Playbrush in the user’s mouth.
• Playbrush is not waterproof when the coloured and the bottom white part are unattached, so don’t
clean with water or other liquids.
• Very strong magnetic elds should always be avoided as they can lead to malfunctions or damage.
• Under any circumstances, do not try to repair Playbrush on your own. The attempt to repair may
cause damage and would void the warranty of your product.

This device has been designed and complies with the safety requirement for RF exposure in
accordance with RSS-102, issue 5 for portable conditions.
Battery
This product contains a non-serviceable, rechargeable lithium ion battery. DO NOT attempt to open or
disassemble the unit to replace or remove the battery yourself. Please refer to original manufacturer for
battery servicing and replacement. Follow safety instructions above carefully. If uid should leak from the
unit or rechargeable battery, do not touch. If uid comes in contact with eyes, wash thoroughly with water
and seek medical advice. Do not rub eyes. If you suspect that the battery is faulty through unexpected
behavior such as not holding charge, please turn o and do not attempt to charge or use the product.
Contact the original product manufacturer immediately.
Recycling Disposal
This product contains rechargeable batteries. In the interest of protecting the environment, please do not
dispose of the product as household waste at the end of its useful life. This product was produced aer Jan

1. Trennen Sie die weiße Unterseite der Playbrush vom
farbigen Zahnbürstenhalter.
2. Stecken Sie das Micro-USB Kabel in den Ladeeingang
der weißen Basis und laden Sie diese auf einem
beliebigen USB-Port (z.B. am Computer oder an einer
Steckdose).

Laden Sie Playbrush vor erstmaligem Gebrauch bitte vollständig auf. Dies kann bis zu
12 Stunden dauern.
Konstant grün leuchtend:
Vollständig geladen,
Playbrush ist einsatzbereit.
Rot und grün blinkend:
Playbrush muss geladen
werden.
3. Achten Sie auf das Licht:
Rot blinkend:
Playbrush wird geladen.
2. ZAHNBÜRSTE AUFSTECKEN
Schieben Sie Playbrush über den Gri Ihrer Handzahnbürste.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Borsten der Zahnbürste mit den
drei Pfeilen eine Linie bilden.
Ist Playbrush vollständig geladen, können die weiße Basis und der farbige Zahnbürstenhalter
wieder zusammengesetzt werden. Die drei Pfeile müssen in einer geraden Linie übereinander
stehen.
