My skin/eye is reacting
to the treatment
(burning feeling/
itchiness).
You may experience mild redness directly after
the treatment, as the treatment has an eect on
the blood ow. You may experience a warm,
tingly sensation during the treatment. These
eects usually disappear within several minutes
and are generally experienced as pleasant. If you
still experience these skin reactions after 24 hours
of use, consult your physician. If the appliance
is going to be used by dierent users, make sure
you clean it after each use to avoid transmission
of eye/skin problems. The appliance has been
tested and conrmed safe for use when used
as described in the user manual. Medicines or
products and their possible side eects can aect
individual people in dierent ways. Since there
is always the possibility that a rare or previously
unknown side eect may occur with the use
of this appliance or any other product, please
contact the Philips Consumer Care Center in
case you experience a side eect which is not
mentioned above.
I do not know when
to use which eye
treatment mode
(Refresh, Relax or
Stimulate).
Please use the dierent treatments according to
the instructions in this user manual.
The handle feels hot
during/after use.
This is normal because the heat transfers in and
out of the handle when the tip is treating your
eyes at dierent temperatures.

Recycling
-Do not throw away the product with the normal household waste at the
end of its life, but hand it in at an ocial collection point for recycling.
By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.
-This product contains a built-in rechargeable battery which shall not be
disposed of with normal household waste. Please take your product to
an ocial collection point or a Philips service center to have a
professional remove the rechargeable battery.
-Follow your country’s rules for the separate collection of electrical and
electronic products and rechargeable batteries. Correct disposal helps
prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.
Removing the rechargeable battery
Only remove the rechargeable battery when you discard the
appliance. Make sure the battery is completely empty when you
remove it.
Take any necessary safety precautions when you handle tools to open
the appliance and when you dispose of the battery.
Do not connect the appliance to the USB port again after you have
removed the battery.
1 Remove the USB plugs from the USB port and the appliance.
2 Let the appliance run until it stops working.
3 Pry the massage surface loose with a athead screwdriver (Fig. 3)
and remove it (Fig. 4).
4 Loosen and remove the 3 screws (Fig. 5).
5 Turn the appliance and remove the treatment head (Fig. 6).
6 Remove the front shell using a screwdriver (Fig. 7) and cut the battery
tags (Fig. 8).
7 Remove the rechargeable battery.

Problem Solution
I do not know if the
appliance is suitable
for use on my eyes.
Do not use the appliance on wet, chapped skin,
open wounds, or when you suer from eye
diseases, eye irritation, eye infection, etc.
If you had any surgery on your face/eyes, please
consult your doctor before using the appliance.
It is advised to remove contact lenses before
using the appliance.
The appliance does
not charge.
Make sure the socket or the USB port to which
you connect the appliance is live. Check if the
voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds
to the local mains voltage. Check if the contact
pins on the appliance are in proper contact
with the contact points. If you use a socket in a
bathroom cabinet, you may need to switch on
the light to activate the socket. When the battery
indicator on the appliance still does not light up
or when the appliance still does not charge, take
it to your Philips dealer or the nearest Philips
Service Center.
The appliance does
not work anymore.
Wait until the appliance has cooled down for at
least 60 minutes.
I have trouble keeping
the appliance on my
lower/upper eyelid or
eyeball.
Try dierent ways of holding the appliance in
order to nd the right angle of the treatment
head on the upper or lower eyelid (Refresh and
Stimulate modes) or on the eyeball (Relax mode)
for proper skin contact. Make sure that you move
the appliance slowly over the upper/lower eyelid.
Check if the treatment head and/or massage
pad is dirty. If so, clean with an alcohol swab or
damped cloth.
It is dicult to tap
the appliance over
my upper and lower
eyelids.
Make sure you clean these parts of the appliance
carefully to remove any dirt.
