About the display

The display can contain up to 16 digits. If

more than 16 numbers are entered, they

are shifted left so that only the last 16 are

shown.

Answering a call

Lift the handset or press to answer the

call.

If the caller number is available it will be

displayed. If not, six dashes will be

displayed.

Transferring a call

During a conversation, press Rand dial

another number.

After the 3rd party has answered the call,

replace the handset or press .

The call is now transferred to the 3rd party.

Inquiry

During a conversation, press Rand dial

another number.

After the 3rd party has answered the call,

you can retrieve the call by pressing the R

button.

Making a call using the

handset

Lift the handset

Dial the number

You can turn the loudspeaker on and off

by pressing The LED indicator by the

symbol is lit when the loudspeaker is on.

At the end of the call replace the handset

to release the line

To store a number in memory

(21 digits or less)

Lift the handset or press

Note: Two 21 digit numbers can be stored

under each memory button.

To store the first number

Press and dial the number

Then the memory button 1..10

To store the second number

Press and dial the number

Press then the memory button 1..10

Note: For some calls you may need to

wait for a second dialling tone before the

number is called. In these cases insert a

pause in the number by pressing If

one pause is not enough to get the line,

insert extra pauses. However, take note

that the number in memory cannot be

more than 21 digits long and that each

pause counts as a digit.

Storing and using numbers

that are longer than 21 digits

Explanation:

The maximum length of a number that

can be stored in memory is 21 digits. In

some cases however, the length of a

number together with its access code,

dialling code and pause digits may

exceed this length.

A number longer than 21 digits can be

stored in the memory by using two (or

more) locations to hold the complete

number.

Note: Numbers used for re-dial can be up

to 32 digits.

When calling the number you need to dial

the separate parts in sequence.

Checking for unanswered

calls

A flashing indicates that there are

new unanswered calls.

A static indicates that there are

already checked unanswered calls.

Press to view the numbers of the

unanswered calls.

Scroll through the list by using the

(scroll up) and (scroll down) keys.

Press to exit the callers list.

A maximum of four unanswered calls can

be stored.

The fifth-unanswered call will replace the

oldest unanswered call in the list.

Only unanswered calls with a maximum of

21 digits are available in the list.

Dialling an unanswered call

Press to enter the callers list.

Scroll through the list by using the

(scroll up) and (scroll down) keys.

Lift the handset or press to call the

selected number.

Note: After the selected extension is

called, the number is cleared from the list.

Storing an unanswered call in

memory

Press to enter the callers list.

Scroll through the list by using the

(scroll up) and (scroll down) keys.

Select the number that should be stored.

Press followed by the memory button

Only unanswered calls with a maximum

number length of 21 digits can be stored.

To re-dial the last number

called

Lift the handset or press

Press

To disable the microphone in

the handset (Mute) or

handsfree

Press

Whatever you say now cannot be heard

by the other party. The LED indicator by

the symbol is lit when the mute function is

on.

The button has a toggle action,

pressing the button again restores the

microphone in the handset or handsfree.

Note: You can also disable the handset

microphone by pressing the pushbutton

on the handset itself.

The status of the button (on or off)

continues if you change the speaking

mode. When the line is released the Mute

function is turned off.

To check the duration of a

call

When you have finished dialling, press

Elapsed time will count up on the display.

If you forget to start the timer it will begin

automatically 6 seconds after the last digit

is dialled.

At the end of a call, the display shows the

call duration for a few seconds after the

end of the call.

To check the duration of the last call:

The display shows the duration of the last

To adjust the loudspeaker

volume

Move the slider you will find on the right

side of the phone, under the symbol

To adjust the ring volume

Use the 3-position selector switch on the

right side of the phone, under the symbols

The symbols mean Off, Low and High

To adjust the ring tone

Use the 3-position selector switch on the

right side of the phone, under the symbols

The symbols mean Low, Medium and

High

Hearing Impairment support

The “High” volume setting is specifically

designed for people with hearing

impairment.

Use the 2-position switch at the back of

the phone under the symbols

The symbols mean Normal and High

WARNING : The “High” volume setting is

not intended for people without hearing

impairment. To avoid extremely loud

hearing levels, care must be taken to set

the volume level to the lowest acceptable

setting.

To check for messages

Check the indicator by the symbol

If it is lit, a message is waiting for you

To set the clock

Under the panel containing the memory

numbers, there are three buttons. The

one on the left represents the hours, the

one in the middle represents the minutes

and the one on the right is the Set button.

Press the Set Clock button.

Press (and hold) the Hours button to set

the hours.

The clock uses the 24 hour format.

Press (and hold) the Minutes button to

set the minutes.

Press the Set Clock button. The clock is

now set.

Installation settings

During installation of the phone there are

three switches that need to be set

according to how the local system is

configured. The switches control:

•Message waiting (Message)

This can be set to Reverse Polarity

(RP), High Voltage (HV) or OFF

•Recall type (Recall)

This can be set to Earth Recall (ETH)

or Time Break Recall (TBR)

•Recall timing (TBR)

The timing for TBR can be set to100,

300 or 600 ms

The three switches are located under the

panel containing the memory numbers.

If you have any questions regarding these

switch settings, contact the telephone

manager or your nearest service

representative.

Speichertasten.

Mit jeder Tasten können

zwei 21-stellige Rufnum-

mern gespeichert werden

einem ankommenden Ruf

Rufton-Lautstärke. Es sind

die Einstellungen Aus,

Leise oder Laut möglich

Die Lautstärke des Hörers

muss auf „Normal”

Das Display

Das Display kann bis zu 16 Ziffern ent-

halten. Wenn mehr als 16 Zahlen einge-

geben werden, werden sie nach rechts

verschoben, so daß nur die letzten 16

Stellen erscheinen.
