The User Manual for the BDL5535VS, autostereoscopic 3D display, consists of the User Manual for the

BDL5530EL and this Addendum. This addendum states the deviations in the manual of the BDL5535VS

compared to the BDL5530EL. If not described in this addendum functionality and working of the BDL5535VS is

the same as the BDL5530EL.

Portrait mounting

The BDL5535VS in 3D mode cannot be used in portrait orientation; i.e. no 3D image will be visible upon using

the display in portrait mode.

Parts and functions

The BDL5535VS has two additional components mounted at the back of the display (both indicated in red in the

picture below). The lower grey box is the Dimenco Rendering Core Premium, which is required to render

2D-plus-Depth input into a full 3D multiview signal. The black box is the power supply for the rendering box.

The BDL5535VS can only visualize in 3D when the appropriate signal (2D-plus-Depth) is sent to the display via

the rendering box. In other words, putting a video signal directly on one of the video inputs on the terminal panel

of the display will not result in a 3D picture.

The BDL5535VS is equipped with a Dimenco Rendering Core Premium, which can perform real-time multi-view

rendering of stereo (L+R) content (next to 2D-plus-Depth). The real-time stereo to auto-stereo conversion can

be enabled via an online license mechanism. More information can be found at

Connecting a PC

Connecting to an external PC:

1. Connect the provided DVI cable to the open DVI port on the grey rendering box at the backside of the

display and to a PC with the following minimum requirements:

•2 GHz processor,

•an NVidia or AMD/ATI graphics card (not combined with other type of graphics chips), resolution

1920x1080,

•DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort output (for the latter 2 a converter plug is not included),

•Windows XP or Windows 7 (preferred).

2. Audio can be connected as described in the BDL5530EL manual. For accessing some audio inputs it may

be required to temporarily shift the additional power supply, connect the audio plug and reposition the

power supply.

3. Install the Dimenco 3D Player and Control Tool that can be downloaded from:

4. Optionally download some sample clips from:

5. Play out the content with the Dimenco Player and control the visualization settings with the Control Tool.

In case there are problems with either the Dimenco 3D Player or Control Tool, please refer to the respective

manuals.

A very important note:

The grey rendering box attached to the back of the display is specific for the panel and cannot be

interchanged for a rendering box of another display (even with the same product number). For this

reason the rendering box has a serial number that is also mentioned on a label (positioned at the red area in the

picture below) on the backside of the display.
