Layout, ExplodedViewsand ReplacementParts List. Itisessential that these
critical parts shouldbereplacedwithmanufacturer’sspecifiedparts topreventX-
RADIATION, shock, fire, or otherhazards. Donotmodify theoriginal design
withoutpermission ofmanufacturer.
2. AnIsolation Transformershouldalways beusedduring theservicing of
Combination VCR whose chassisisnotisolatedfromtheAC powerline. Use a
transformerofadequate powerrating as thisprotects thetechnicianfrom
accidents resulting inpersonal injuryfromelectrical shocks. Itwill alsoprotect
Combination VCR frombeing damagedbyaccidental shorting that may occur
during servicing.
3. Whenservicing, observe theoriginal leaddress, especiallytheleaddress inthe
high voltagecircuits. Ifashortcircuitisfound, replace all parts whichhave been
overheatedor damagedbytheshortcircuit.
4. Afterservicing, see toitthat all theprotective devices suchas insulation
barriers, insulation papers, shield, and isolation R-C combinationsareproperly
installed.
5. Beforeturning thereceiveron, measuretheresistance betweenB+ lineand
chassisground. Connect (-) sideofanohmmetertotheB+ lines, and (+)sideto
chassisground. Eachlineshouldhave moreresistance thanspecified, as
follows:

6. WhentheTV set isnotusedfor along period oftime, unplug thepowercord
fromtheAC outlet.
7. Potentials, as high as 34.5kV arepresentwhenthisTV set isinoperation.
Operation oftheTV set withouttherearcoverinvolves thedangerofashock
hazard fromtheTV set powersupply. Servicing shouldnotbeattemptedby
anyonewho isnotthoroughlyfamiliarwiththeprecautionsnecessarywhen
