Overview

This document outlines the unique firmware upgrade procedure required for the listed model. Please follow

this procedure carefully to ensure successful firmware upgrade to the new version.

Panasonic SIP Model

KX-HDV130

This firmware upgrade package contains two FW files (part1 and part2)

Firmware Update Summary

1. Put both HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part1 and HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part2

in your FW maintenance server.

2. Set the FW File path “/HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part1“ in the device.

3. The device downloads HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part1 from the server and

FW updating is done by HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part1 first.

Then the device automatically downloads HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part2 and

FW updating is done by HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part2.

Both files are required during the update procedure to properly

upgrade the device.

HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part2

NOTE

Once firmware is upgraded, you CANNOT

downgrade to Ver.1.04x or earlier.

Upgrade device to new firmware in a network

environment with no VLAN and no proxy

Do NOT rename these files!

Do NOT set “/HDV130-06.000_US.fw.part2” as FW file path

In the case of upgrade by TR069, "BOOT" and "Transfer Complete" will

be displayed with new version after the part2 upgrade is complete.

Upgrade Process

This diagram illustrates the upgrade process. This process takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Please be careful not to disconnect power

and network during firmware update.

Upgrade Firmware via WebUI

At firmware version 1.04x or earlier, you can NOT use

macros: {MAC}, {mac}, {MODEL}, {fwver}

GET “HDV130-06.00_US.fw.part1”

GET “HDV130-06.00_US.fw.part2”

When update fails by disconnect power or network,

reconnect power and network. Then device starts

update again. Do not reset to factory default.

Device Display Sequence

As the upgrade process advances, the device display will maintain the current upgrade status. This

display cycle is dependent upon whether the device is being upgraded for the first time, or the unit has

already received part of the upgrade.

If this is the first time to update the device with part1/part2 update, the device will display as follows:

Manual Upgrade Overview

This section covers upgrading device utilizing a server PC.

Local Area Network (LAN)

Server PC connected to your LAN.

Personal Computer or

Laptop connected to your LAN.

Abyss Web Server Software

Download the software https://aprelium.com/

Install the Abyss Web Server on your local Server PC.

Panasonic KX-HDV130 Firmware Files

Download the firmware files to your web server PC.

Firmware File URL

Login to the KX-HDV130 WebUI with PC or Laptop.

Program the Firmware File URL under Maintenance tab.

Software Installation

Run the Abyss Web Service installation file downloaded to the server PC from the website. Follow the

instructions for basic installation.

Setup Login Credentials

Follow the instructions for language setup and the username and password.

Choose your preferred language.

Set your login credentials.

This will be the username and password

used when logging to the Abyss Web

Server.

When finished creating a

username and password,

Click OK.

The browser will launch an

authentication window.

Enter the username and

password from above.
