IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following:
WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, injury to persons, or exposure to excessive
microwave energy:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Read and follow the specific “PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE
MICROWAVE ENERGY” found on page 4.
3. This appliance must be grounded. Connect only to properly grounded outlet. See “GROUNDING
INSTRUCTIONS” found on page 5.
4. Install or locate this appliance only in accordance with the provided installation instructions.
5. Some products such as whole eggs and sealed containers – for example, closed glass jars – are able
to explode and should not be heated in this oven.
6. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in the manual. Do not use corrosive
chemicals or vapors in this appliance. This type of oven is specifically designed to heat, cook, or
dry food. It is not designed for industrial or laboratory use.
7. As with any appliance, close supervision is necessary when used by children.
8. Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if
it has been damaged or dropped.
9. This appliance should be serviced only by qualified service personnel. Contact nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
10.Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
11.Do not store this appliance outdoors. Do not use this product near water – for example, near a
kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or similar locations.
12.Do not immerse cord or plug in water.
13.Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
14.Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.

16.To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
• Do not overcook food. Carefully attend appliance when paper, plastic, or other combustible
materials are placed inside the oven to facilitate cooking.
• Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing bag in oven.
• If materials inside the oven ignite, keep oven door closed, turn oven off, and disconnect the
power cord, or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.
• Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils,
or food in the cavity when not in use.
17.Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea are able to be overheated beyond the boiling point without
appearing to be boiling. Visible bubbling or boiling when the container is removed from the
microwave oven is not always present. THIS COULD RESULT IN VERY HOT LIQUIDS
SUDDENLY BOILING OVER WHEN THE CONTAINER IS DISTURBED OR A UTENSIL IS
INSERTED INTO THE LIQUID.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
Make sure all packing materials are removed from inside the microwave door.
Check the microwave for damage, such as misaligned or bent door, damaged door seals and sealing
surface, broken or loose door hinges and latches, and dents inside the cavity or on the door. If there
This microwave must be placed on a flat, stable surface to hold its weight and the heaviest food
likely to be cooked inside.
Do not place the oven where heat, moisture, or high humidity are generated. Do not place
microwave near combustible materials.
For correct operation, the oven must have sufficient air flow. Allow 8” of space above the
microwave, 4” at the back, and 2” on each side of the unit. Do not cover or block any openings on
the microwave. Do not remove microwave feet.
Do not operate the oven without the glass tray, roller support, and shaft in their proper positions.
Make sure the power supply cord is undamaged and does not run under the microwave or over any
hot or sharp surface.
The socket must be readily accessible so the microwave can be easily unplugged in an emergency.

Do not attempt to operate this microwave with the door open. Door open operation can result
in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety
interlocks.
Do not place any objects between the microwave front face and the door, or allow soil or cleaner
residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
Do not operate the microwave if damaged. It is particularly important that the microwave door be
properly closed and there is no damage to the door, hinges and latches, or door seals and sealing
surfaces.
The microwave should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service
personnel.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only the microwave be provided.
The microwave is equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug. It must be plugged into a wall outlet
properly installed and grounded.

POWER CORD
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a long cord.
Longer cord sets or extension cords are available and may be used if care is taken in using them.
If using a longer cord, the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical marking of the microwave itself and the extension cord must be
a grounded-type 3-wire cord. The longer cord should be arranged so it will not drape over the
counter or tabletop.

This microwave must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces risk
of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. Consult a qualified electrician or
serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether
the appliance is properly grounded.
WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in risk of electric shock.

CONTROL PANEL
MENU ACTION SCREEN: Cooking time, power,
indicators, and present time are displayed.
QUICK COOK BUTTONS: Instant settings to cook
particular foods.
POWER: Used to set power levels to cook foods
properly.
TIMER: Timer functions independently, even while a
cooking program is in progress.
COOK: Used for multi-staged cooking. Enables
cooking at multiple power levels and time settings.
COOK BY WEIGHT: Programmed cooking based
on weight of foods cooked.
DEFROST BY WEIGHT: Programmed defrosting
based on weight of foods cooked.
SPEED DEFROST: Quick defrost function that
alternates defrost and stand times to quickly and
effectively defrost foods.
NUMBER PAD (0-9): Touch to set time or amount.
CLOCK: Sets current time.
RESET: Clears all previous settings.
START/STOP: Touch to start or stop cooking.
COOK SIGNALS
One signal = microwave accepts entry.
Two signals = microwave does not accept entry, check and try again.

SETTING THE CLOCK
Touch CLOCK.
Use the number pads to enter the correct time. You must touch at least three numbers to set the
clock (one for the hour, two for the minutes).
Touch CLOCK again.
Notes:
This is a 12-hour clock. When the microwave is first plugged in or when power resumes after a
power outage, the display will show ENTER CLOCK TIME. If you prefer to not have the clock
displayed, touch RESET.
You can check the clock time while cooking is in progress by touching the CLOCK pad.

SETTING THE MICROWAVE TIMER
Touch TIMER.
Enter the amount of time by touching the number pads. Digit time is in minutes and seconds, set
from left to right. Set one digit (a 5 for 5 seconds) or up to four digits (2405 for 24 minutes, 5
seconds).
Touch START/STOP.
Notes:
The time countdown can be seen in display for three seconds before clock or cooking time is
returned to the display.
Touch TIMER and then RESET to cancel timer during process.

SETTING A COOKING PROGRAM
A. ONE-STAGE COOKING
Use the number pads to set a cooking time.
Use the number pads to set a power level (1-9). If you need a power level higher than 100%, press
POWER, then use the number pads.
Touch START/STOP to start cooking.
Use single digits to set a cooking power level:

B. TWO-STAGE COOKING
Some recipes require different stages of cooking at different temperatures:
SET STAGE 1: Follow steps 1 and 2 in “One-Stage Cooking” above. DO NOT TOUCH START/
STOP.
SET STAGE 2: Touch COOK, then enter the proper cooking time and (lower) power level. (Most
Stage-2 recipes use lower power for a second stage.)
Touch START/STOP.
Notes:
After total time has elapsed, four signals will sound and END will appear on the display. Touch
RESET or open the microwave door to clear before setting another cooking function.

SPEED DEFROST
Touch SPEED DEFROST.
Enter desired defrosting time by touching the correct number pads.
Touch START/STOP.
Notes:
After total time has elapsed, four signals will sound and END will appear on the display. Touch
RESET or open the microwave door to clear before setting another cooking function.
After setting SPEED DEFROST, the microwave can be programmed to automatically switch to one-
or two-stage cooking.
For speed defrost and one-stage cooking, follow the steps above. Before touching START/STOP,
touch COOK, enter the desired cook time and power level, then touch START/STOP.
For speed defrost and two-stage cooking, follow the steps above. Before touching START/STOP,
enter the two-stage cooking programs.
