Features This new document for Nortel Communication Server 2000/2100 supports

Overview

Nortel IP Phone 1110 brings voice and data to the desktop by connecting

directly to a Local Area Network (LAN) through an Ethernet connection.

When you are logged on the system, the handset and keypad of the IP

Phone 1110 operate in the same way as a standard Meridian Business Set

(MBS) telephone. You can access additional services and features through

the softkeys. The label beside a softkey identiﬁes the current function

associated with that key.

Nortel IP Phone 1110 offers these features:

•four light-emitting diode (LED) indicator lamps

— message waiting lamp

— data lamp

— link/data lamp

•multiﬁeld LCD screen

— adjustable contrast

— backlight

•four softkeys to access and utilize Centrex features that are available

through the Call Services menu

•ﬁve navigational keys

— send

•speaker for on-hook dialing or on-hook listening

"IP Phone 1110 components" (page 10) shows the location of the keys and

the components of the IP Phone.

The IP Phone does not have a microphone for handsfree talking. A mute

function is available through the Call Services menu.

Not all features are available on all telephones. Consult your system

administrator to verify which features are available to you.
