NOCRY Forestry User manual

BECAUSE KEEPING YOU SAFE IS OUR TOP PRIORITY...
Take a moment to read all safety warnings and instructions.
The protective equipment must only be used for the applications it is intended for.
v Always ensure the protective equipment is properly assembled, fitted and maintained according to the instructions.
The product must not be modified. A damaged or modified equipment should aways be replaced. Always use genuine
accessories.
We care a lot about your safety and satisfaction. That’s why we’ve put together a few precautions for you to follow
while using your NoCry Forestry Helmet Kit.
v At the first signs of wear, blows, damages or aging of the material, the helmet's shell or suspension must be replaced
to guarantee the helmet's protective capabilities. Inspect for damage regularly before each use. A protective
helmet, earmuffs or visor that shows signs of damage - (e.g. cracks or scratches) that might reduce its protective
capabilities - must be disposed of. In case of an accident or incident, the helmet must be disposed, even if it does not
have any visual damage.
v Hearing protection must always be worn in noisy environments and the earmuffs should be fitted prior to entering
the noise area. WARNING! Hearing protectors can block out warning cries, alarms or other important signals. Always
pay extra attention to surroundings when wearing hearing protectors.
If the forestry helmet kit you received is not a great fit or you have any questions or concerns, feel free to
v The earmuffs can be rotated and placed on the back of the helmet when not in use. IMPORTANT! The noise
attenuation capability of the hearing protectors is considerably reduced if the hearing protectors are not used and
maintained according to the instructions. The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic
performance of the earmuffs. Please note that the earmuffs can get impaired due to use and aging. Check the hearing
protectors regularly for damages.
v The visors can be attached and detached, giving you the ability to adjust the helmet to your needs. Do not try to
attach both visors to the helmet at the same time. CAUTION! The mesh visor is no substitute for protective
goggles or safety goggles. It does not provide protection against splashes of molten metal, hot objects, splashes of
liquid or electrical risks. Be aware that materials that may come into contact with the user's skin can cause allergic
reactions in especially sensitive people.
v For the helmet to provide the intended protection it must be adjusted to the user's head. Adjust the headband size
using the dial ratchet until the helmet feels comfortable and snug on your head. Please bear in mind that the headband
should not be fastened too tightly.
v The helmet kit is not fire or chemical resistant. Do not store the equipment in places where it can be exposed to
extreme sunlight or in places with high humidity. Protect the equipment from external impact during transport. Keep
the hearing protectors clean and dry and store them at room temperature.
v You can remove minor dirt/stains from your helmet kit by using a soft brush. If the dirt/stains are stubborn please
use a washcloth in lukewarm water with a neutral detergent solution. Rinse with clean water afterwards. Never clean
any part in a washing machine.
v
The NoCry helmet is constructed to absorb blows and distribute the impact from falling objects that hit or penetrate
the helmet shell from above, but not from the sides. Always be careful when assessing situations and environments
where you are planning to use the helmet kit. Ensure that the helmet, earmuffs and visor selected are the most
suitable means of protection from potential threats you will be exposed to in your work environment. Avoid direct
contact with electric wires.
