WARNING: DO NOT change pellets while the grill is hot.
Visually inspect the hopper finger safety guard to make sure that it is in place and not
damaged before filling the hopper with your choice of pellets.
NOTE:
•The grill temperature is influenced by the ambient temperature. The grill may not be able
to reach the highest temperature in cold weather.
•The new operating temperature should stabilize within 15 minutes. The best way to
lower the grill temperature is to leave the lid open for a few minutes.

MEAT PROBE:
•To use a meat probe, insert the plug into the socket on the controller. Route the meat
probe into the cooking chamber by passing it through the silicon grommet found in the
cooking chamber end cap. Insert the meat probe into the food with the tip at the center
of the meat.
•To read the temperature, press the M/P button for 2 seconds. The meat probe
temperature will display for a short while before returning to the default display.
Controller GUIDE
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove all packaging materials from the grill.
2. Turn the control knob set to “OFF”.
3. Open the grill lid, remove warming rack, cooking grid, and grease tray.
4. Remove the diffuser and verify there are no foreign objects obstructing
the auger.
5. Inspect the bottom of grill body and remove any pellet ash. Also inspect
and clean out fire pot. Ensure there are no foreign objects in the fire pot
and that the ignitor is clean and free of debris.
6. Open the hopper lid and ensure the hopper safety guard is in place and
the pellet cleanout door is closed.
7. Fill the hopper with your choice of pellets to your desired fuel level and
close the hopper lid.
8. Plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
9. Turn on the grill by turning control knob to “HIGH”.
10. Observe the auger is turning and that pellets are filling the auger tube.
(This could take a few minutes.) Once pellets begin to fall into the fire pot,
turn the control knob to “OFF”.
11. Reinstall the diffuser, cooking grids and warming rack.
LIGHTING YOUR GRILL - AUTOMATICALLY
Make sure your grill is properly setup and ready for use.
1. Open the grill lid and verify all the components are in place.
2. Ensure the hopper does not contain foreign objects and is filled with enough barbecue pellets.
3. Ensure the auger is filled with pellets. If not, go back to BEFORE FIRST USE procedure and properly fill the
auger with pellets.
4. Turn the control knob to “SMOKE”. Listen for the operation of the fan and auger motor. Smoke should be
visible within 5 minutes. If smoke does not appear, turn OFF power and wait 5 minutes before relight.
5. Once the grill has lit, close the lid. Set the desired cooking temperature or smoking preset.
LIGHTING YOUR GRILL - MANUALLY
Make sure your grill is properly setup and ready for use.
1. Open the grill lid and remove the grids, grease tray and diffuser.
2. Ensure the hopper does not contain foreign objects and is filled with enough barbecue pellets.
3. Ensure the auger is filled with pellets. If not, go back to BEFORE FIRST USE procedure and properly fill the
auger with pellets.
4. Add a natural wood fire starter or gel to the fire pot.
5. With a long match or lighter, ignite the fire starter.
6. Add a handful of barbecue pellets to the fire pot.
7. After the pellets are burning well, replace the diffuser, grease tray and grids.
8. Turn the control knob to “SMOKE”. Listen for the operation of the fan and auger motor.
9. Keep the grill lid open for a few minutes to complete the lighting procedure.
10. Set the desired cooking mode and temperature if not already entered.

Operating Instruction
Use this procedure to properly turn off your grill after each use.
1. Turn the control knob to “OFF”. The controller will begin its shutdown procedure to cool down the grill.
2. Open the lid, remove all meat probes and food. Leave the grill lid open until the shutdown procedure is complete;
“OFF” will be displayed on the controller screen.
3. When “OFF” is on the controlled display, close the grill lid and unplug the power cord.
ATTENTION: Do not immediately disconnect the power!
The automatic shutdown procedure allows the flames to burn out naturally. Once the shutdown procedure
starts, the controller begins a 10-minute countdown timer. The display will show “10” and the fan will continue
to run. When the procedure is completed, the fan will stop, and controller will display “OFF”.
TURNING OFF THE GRILL
1. Follow “BEFORE FIRST USE” procedure to ensure the grill safe operation.
2. Follow “LIGHTING YOUR GRILL -AUTOMATICALLY” section on the previous page to light up the grill.
3. Set the temperature to 250 F and allow the grill to run for 1 hour.
4. Increase the temperature to 400 F and allow it to run for 30 minutes more.
5. Turn “OFF” the grill and allow the grill to cool down.
Before initial use, it is recommended to cure the grill to remove manufacturing oils or paint
residue and minimize smoke odors to unnatural flavors from being added to food.
FIRST TIME USE
Preheating the grill is recommended to increase the cooking performance. Preheating will
remove bacteria or foreign material left from previous use. Without preheating, it will take
longer for food to cook.
PREHEATING THE GRILL
1. Follow “BEFORE FIRST USE” procedure to ensure the grill safe operation.
2. Follow “LIGHTING YOUR GRILL -AUTOMATICALLY” section on the previous
page to light the grill, then turn the control knob to “HIGH”.
3. Close the lid and allow the grill to maintain at least 400 F for about 10
minutes.
4. Open lid, set the controller to the desired temperature. Close the lid once
the temperature is close to the desired setting.
5. The grill has been successfully preheated and you are ready to begin
cooking on your grill.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
The pellet grill has 2 modes to control the pellet feeding speed. These are designated as the Cook Mode and the Smoke
Mode. The Cook Mode is for grilling or low cooking methods, while the Smoke Mode is for smoking and adding flavor to
food being prepared.
Cook Mode
After the grill is properly lit, turn the control knob to the desired cooking temperature. The grill will automatically
maintain the set temperature by adding pellet fuel to the fire pot when need by monitoring the internal grill
temperature. Therefore, it is important to keep the grill lid closed for the grill to function properly

The Grill Probe (RTD) measures the
internal temperature of the grill,
which is displayed in 1-degree
increments.

Press the M/P Button to choose your
desired preset smoking temperature.
Presets range from 165 F to 195 F.
See the following table for more
information.
Operating Instruction
The following table represents the relationship between temperature and smoke per preset option. A higher preset
level will produce more smoke while having a lower cooking temperature. The preset temperatures range from 165 F
to 195 F.
POST COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
It is recommended to run the grill at high temperature following each cook to burn
off excess oil.
1. Turn the control knob to “HIGH”.
2. Close the lid and allow the grill to run in 5 to 15 minutes.
3. Turn OFF the grill.
4. Clean the cooking grid with a grill cleaning brush.
5. Once the grill has properly shut down and cool, unplug the power cord and store the grill in a safe, dry place.

WARNING!
Always wear dry, protective gloves or oven mitts when cooking or cleaning hot
cooking grids.
