S-CAP
1. Tear open foil bag, take out and unfold S-CAP and remove bag with
drier.
2. Part the collar with both hands and pull the S-CAP over your head,
seating the inner mask against your nose and chin.
3. Grab pulling straps with both hands and pull to rear.
4. The S-CAP is in use. Breathe calmly, do not panic. Leave danger
area.
1. Folienbeutel aufreißen, S-CAP entnehmen und auffalten,
Trockenmittelbeutel entfernen.
2. S-CAP mit beiden Händen öffnen und über den Kopf ziehen, Maske
auf Kinn und Nase positionieren.
3. Grifflaschen mit beiden Händen ergreifen und nach hinten anziehen.
4. S-CAP in Gebrauch. Ruhig atmen, nicht in Panik geraten, Gefahren-
bereich verlassen.

ajustarse la mascarilla interior sobre la nariz y la barbilla.
3. Estirar al mismo tiempo de las dos cintas laterales con las dos manos,
tirando hacia atrás.
4. El S-CAP ya funciona. Respirar con calma, no dejarse llevar por el
pánico. Abandonar el área peligrosa.
1. Déchirer le sachet plastique étanche, sortir et déplier la cagoule
S-CAP. Enlever la pochette de déshydratant.
2. Pièce le collier avec les deux mains et passer la cagoule par-dessus
la tête; positionner le masque intérieur sur le menton et le nez.
3. Attraper les deux sangles latérales et tirer vers l’arrière.
4. La cagoule S-CAP est opérationnelle. Quitter les lieux en respirant
calmement, sans affolement.
1. Aprire l’involucro alluminizzato, estrarre e spiegare il cappuccio
S-CAP ed eliminare il sacchetto contenente la sostanza essiccante.
2. Parte il collare con entrambe le mani e indossare il cappuccio sopra
la testa, posizionare il mento ed il naso nella maschera interna.
3. Afferrare le cinghie di tiraggio conentrambe le mani e tirare all'in-
dietro.
4. Il cappuccio S-CAP è pronto per l'uso. Respirare con calma, non
farsi prendere dal panico. Abbandonare l'area pericolosa.

1. Abra o saco metalizado, retire e desenrole o S-CAP e retire o saco
de gel de sílica.
2. Alargue a parte do pescoço com ambas as mãos e puxe o S-CAP
sobre a cabeça, posicionando a máscara interior contra o nariz e
queixo.
3. Puxe ao mesmo tempo as duas fitas com ambas as mãos para trás.
4. O S-CAP está pronto a ser utilizado. Respire calmamente e não
entre em pânico. Abandone a área perigosa.

4. S-CAP er nu i brug. Træk vejret roligt og undgå panik. Forlad det
farlige område.
1. Riv opp folieposen, ta ut og fold ut S-CAP (fjern folieposen).
2. Dra S-CAP over hodet med begge hender, sett innermasken inntil
kinnet og over nesen.
3. Ta tak i justeringsstroppene og dra bakover.
4. S-CAP er nå klar til bruk. Pust rolig og forlat område.

1. Repäise auki foliopakkaus, ota suojain ja suorista sen taitokset.
2. Avaa kaulus molemmin käsin ja vedä S-CAP pääsi yli. Aseta
sisänaamari nenää ja leukaa vasten.
3. Tartu molemmin käsin kiristysnauhoista ja vedä taaksepäin.
4. Käyttäessäsi S-CAP:ia hengitä rauhallisesti. Älä joudu paniikkiin.

1. Tépje szét a csomagoló fóliát, vegye ki az SCAPet.
2. Nyissa szét a gallért két kézzel, és húzza fel az SCAPot a fejére.
Igazítsa a belső maszkot az orrához és az állához.
3. Fogja meg a gumipántokat méndkét oldalon és húzza meg feszesen.
4. Az SCAP használat közben. Lélegezzen nyugodtan, ne essen
pánikba. Hagyja el a veszélyes területet.
1. Ανοίξτε την αεροστεγή συσκευασία, αφαιρέστε και ξεδιπλώστε το
SCAP και αφαιρέστε το σακουλάκι απορρόφησης υγρασίας.
2. Ανοίξτε το κολάρο με τα δύο χέρια και τραβήξτε το SCAP πάνω από
το κεφάλι σας, εφαρμόζοντας την εσωτερική μάσκα στη μύτη και το
πηγούνι σας.
3. Κρατήστε τους ιμάντες με τα δύο χέρια και τραβήξτε προς τα πίσω.

1. Rozerwać torebkę, wyjąć sprzęt i usunąć woreczek ze środkiem
wysuszającym.

nie wpadać w panikę, opuścić strefę zagrożenia.
1. Pазорвать пластиковый пакет, вынуть и развернуть SCАР,
удалить пакет с осушительным веществом.
2. SCАР обеими руками надеть на голову, установить внутреннюю
маску на подбородок и нос.
3. Взять лямки обеими руками и затянуть назад.
4. SCАР в действии. Дышать спокойно, не впадать в панику,
покинуть зону опасности.

1. Разкъсайте предпазното фолио, извадете и разгънете SCAP, след което
отстранете предпазния пакет.
2. Разтворете нашийника с двете си ръце и издърпайте SCAP над главата
си, поставяйки вътрешната маска върху носа и брадичката си.
3. Прихванете с двете ръце излизащите от маската ремъци и ги затегнете
назад.

1. Roztrhněte fóliový sáček, vyjměte a rozložte SCAP a vyjměte sáček
s vysoušedlem.
2. Oběma rukama rozevřete límec a natáhněte si SCAP přes hlavu
tak, aby vnitřní maska byla proti nosu a bradě.
3. Oběma rukama uchopte stahovací pásky a natáhněte dozadu.
4. Protikouřová kukla SCAP je připravena. Dýchejte zvolna,
nepanikařte. Opusťte nebezpečný prostor.
1. Rupeţi ambalajul din folie de aluminiu și despăturiţi SCAP și
îndepărtaţi punga cu sicativ.
2. Desfaceţi gulerul cu ambele mâini și trageţi SCAP pe capul
dumneavoastră, poziţionând masca interioară pe nasul și bărbia

3. Prindeţi curelele de tragere cu ambele mâini și trageţi către spate.
4. SCAP este acum în utilizare. Respiraţi calm, nu intraţi în panică.

dozadu.
4. Maska SCAP je nasadená a pripravená na používanie. Dýchajte
pokojne, nepodliehajte panike. Opustite nebezpečný priestor.

приберіть пакет з осушувальною речовиною.
2. Розділіть комір двома руками та натягніть SCAP на голову так,
щоб внутрішня маска сіла на ніс та підборіддя.
3. Схопіть лямки двома руками та потягніть їх назад.
4. SCAP діє. Дихайте спокійно, не панікуйте. Залиште зону
небезпеки.

Safety Advice
The S-CAP is a product supporting life and health!
This manual must be carefully read, understood and followed by all
individuals who have or will have the responsibility for selecting and using
this product.
This manual contains instructions for the optimal use of the product as
well as important safety information.
Before use, the acting persons have to decide in accordance with this
manual, whether the product is suitable for the intended application.
Liability Information
The liability of MSA is excluded if the product is not used appropriately and
for the intended purpose. Choice and use are in the sole responsibility of
the acting persons.
Warranties also as guarantees made by MSA with respect to the product
are voided, if it is not used in accordance with the instructions in this
manual.
The above corresponds to the terms and conditions of sale regarding the
warranty and liability of MSA. It does not alter them.

1. Description and Ordering Information
The products described in these Instructions for Use are in accordance with
Regulation 89/686/EEC. These Instructions for Use apply to MSA filtering smoke
hoods according to EN 403:2004.

2. Selection and Use
Filtering smoke hoods are used exclusively for self-rescue in case of fire. They
are intended for one-time use only and for short duration.
Filtering smoke hoods are respiratory protective devices dependent on the
ambient air and do not protect against oxygen deficiency.
Users with facial hair like beards or sideburns or anomalies in the face are not
likely to achieve a tight fit since the facepiece-to-face fit may be broken. This
may also occur in the case of extreme face sizes (e.g. children) or face shapes.
Due to its wide design, the S-CAP is also suited for persons wearing spectacles.
3. Donning
Remove S-CAP from box, resp. pack and don according to Fig. 1- 4.
4. Storage, Storage Life
The S-CAP is stored in cool, dry and clean ambient air. Do not open box or pack
or foil bag prior to use. In case of damaged or opened foil bag, replace S-CAP.
The end of storage life is indicated on the device (hourglass).
At the end of the storage life contact MSA to determine if it can be extended.
