BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before starting this installation, you will need the following items:
•The contents of your Captis device box
•A small flat blade screwdriver
•An internet-connected device, such as a phone or tablet
What’s in your Captis device box?
•Captis Power+
•Activation magnet

5
INSTALLATION
To successfully install the Captis device you must perform the following steps:
1. Mount your Captis Power+ to a DIN rail
2. Connect the Captis Power+ to DC power supply
3. Terminate the sensor
4. Test the sensor and test connectivity
Mount your Captis Power+
Your Captis Power+ must be mounted on DIN rail and ensure the fastening clip on the back of the
device is engaged.
When mounting your Captis Power+, ensure that there is enough length in the sensor cable to reach
without any undue stress.
Note: If the Captis Power+ is to be installed inside a metal cabinet, an external LTE antenna must
be used and routed to an open area where cell signal is less obstructed.

6
Terminate the Sensor
The Captis Power+ is provided with 24 terminals, 12 on each side of the device. These terminals can
be connected to one or many different peripheral devices at one time. Use the diagram below to
determine how to wire the connections between the Captis Power+ terminals and the sensor.
Test Sensor
Test the sensor by ensuring there is known data out of the sensor into the Captis device sensor input.
Wake the device and review the data stream.
Test Connectivity
Use the magnet provided to ‘Wake’ the Captis Power+ by holding it over the symbol.
The device should then connect to your platform.
Ensure that the device is tested in its final install location to prove that there is adequate signal
strength.
If the device does not connect to your platform, please refer to the Troubleshooting section below.
