Introduction
AccessITisan appliance based application thatprovidesITstaff withsecureand
centralized managementofall remote access servicesin the organization. Itoperates
in both Windowsand Linux environmentsand isaccessiblefromInternetExplorer
and Firefox.
Pre-installation guidelines
Prepare alistofallAccessITsystemcomponents. Youwillneedthisinformation to
configure the system.
Theattached sheetcontains2 listsofallthe detailsyou need to prepareforMinicom
KVM/IP devicesand PXunits(notPXSerial). Photocopyorprintit out.
Thelistsshouldinclude the IP device name and MAC address,KVMswitch and the
Targetdetails.
Foreach Target, list:
·Aunique and clearlyidentifiablename
·Theoperatingsystem
·Non-default mouse settings. Default mouse settingsdonotneed to be listed
Configuring KVM/IPdevicesto be Centralized Managementenabled
Refertothe UserGuide ofeach KVM/IP device and configurethemto be
Centralized Managementenabled.
Connecting theAccessITManager
1. Connectthe AccessITManagertothe networkasfollows:On the rearpanel
connectan Ethernetcable to LAN 1. Connectthe otherend ofthe Ethernetcable
to the networkswitch.
2. Connectthe AccessITManagerto apowersupplyoutlet.
