Washer-dryer

WT 2780 WPM

These short instructions are not a substitute

for the Operating instructions supplied with the appliance.

Please read the Operating instructions supplied with

your Washer-dryer before using it for the first time and

take note of the Warning and Safety instructions as well

as the full descriptions on how to use your machine. M.-Nr. 07 830 830

Basic wash programmes

Cottons Cold to 95°C Max. load 5.5 kg

Fabric type Cottons, linens or blended fabrics, e.g. table linen, towelling,

underwear, T-shirts etc.

Extra options Short, Water plus, Stains, Quiet, Additional rinse, Pre-wash, Soak,

Rinse hold

Minimum iron Cold to 60°C Max. load 3.0 kg

Fabric type Synthetics, mixed fibres and easy care cottons.

Extra options Short, Water plus, Stains, Quiet, Additional rinse, Pre-wash, Soak,

Rinse hold

Denim Cold to 60°C Max. load 3.0 kg

Notes – Wash denim inside out.

– Wash light and dark coloured items separately.

Woollens /Cold to 40°C Max. load 2.0 kg

Fabric type Woollens, mixed wool and handwashable items.

Express 20 Cold to 40°C Max. load 3.0 kg

Fabric type Small cotton loads with light soiling.

Extra options Water plus, Quiet, Additional rinse hold, Rinse hold; Short is

automatically activated.

Shirts Cold to 60°C Max. load 2.0 kg

Note –Wash silk garments in the Silks programme.

Automatic plus Cold to 40°C Max. load 4.5 kg

Fabric type Mixed loads of garments suitable for the Cottons and Minimum

iron programmes. Sort according to colour.

Programme chart

Basic drying programmes

Cottons Max. load: 2.5 kg*

Extra dry, Normal +, Normal

Fabric type Single and multi-layered cotton fabrics such as towelling,

jerseywear, T-shirts, underwear.

Note Do not use Extra dry for loopknit fabrics (e.g. T-shirts, underwear).

Extra options Low temperature, thermospin

Hand iron r, Hand iron rr, Machine iron, Smooting +, Timed drying

Fabric type Cottons or linens, e.g. table cloths, bed linen.

Note To prevent laundry from drying out, it should be rolled up until

you are ready for ironing.

Extra options Low temperature, thermospin

Minimum iron Max. load: 1.5 kg*

Normal +, Normal, Hand iron r, Smoothing +, Timed drying

Fabric type Minimum iron items made of synthetic or mixed fibres.

Notes –This programme only fluffs up woollen garments. They are not

dried completely by this programme.

–Remove garments immediately at the end of the programme.

Extra dry, Normal +, Normal, Hand iron r, Hand iron rr, Machine iron,

Smoothing +, Timed drying

Fabric type Tougher fabrics for the Cottons programme.

Extra options Thermospin

Shirts Max. load: 1.0 kg*

Normal +, Normal, Hand iron r, Smoothing +, Timed drying

Fabric type Shirts and blouses.

Note Water is added to the laundry at the beginning of the programme

to reduce creasing.

Automatic plus Max. load: 2.5 kg*

Normal +, Normal, Hand iron r, Smoothing +, Timed drying

Fabric type Mixed loads of garments suitable for the Cottons and Minimum

iron programmes. Sort according to colour.

Extra options Thermospin

Freshen up Max. load: 1.0 kg*

Fabric type Freshly washed and spun garments or dry garments, or briefly

worn but unsoiled garments.

Notes – Water is added to the laundry at the beginning of the

programme to reduce creasing.

– Select Water plus for particularly absorbent fabrics.

Select: – Normal: The garments are needed immediately.

–Hand iron rr: The garments are to be ironed or hung on a

line to dry.

–Timed drying: Check the items as you are drying them to find

the optimum time.

Note –Creasing increases with larger loads and longer drying times.

Smoothing / Easy care Max. load: 2.5 kg*

Fabric type Cotton and linen fabrics. Minimum iron items made of cotton,

synthetic or mixed fibres.

Notes –Water is added to the laundry at the beginning of the

programme to reduce creasing.

–The garments are not completely dried to make ironing easier.

–Remove garments immediately at the end of the programme.

–Select Water plus for particularly absorbent fabrics.

APrepare the laundry

^Empty all pockets.

,Foreign objects (e.g. nails,

coins, paper clips, etc.) can cause

damage to garments and

components in the machine.

^Sort the laundry by colour and by

care label. Most garments have a

textile care label in the collar or side

seam.

BSwitch on the washer-dryer

CSelect a programme

^Select a programme. The display will

show the selected programme.

After selecting Further

programmes/Settings, other

programmes will appear in the display.

Cottons

60°C 1600 rpm

Duration: 1:49 h

^Highlight the required programme

with Xor Yand confirm with OK .

Separate washing

^Press Washing/Drying button

repeatedly until only the Washing

indicator light is lit up.

DSelect a temperature / spin speed

^Change the temperature with Xor Y

and confirm with OK .

^Change the highlighted spin speed

with Xor Yor select No spin (without

.).

ESelecting Extra options

^Use the buttons to select Short or

Water plus.

^If required, select Further extras or

Stains.

FLoad the washer-dryer

^Press the Door button and open the

door.

The display shows the amount of

laundry loaded in the drum asa%(in

25% steps) of the maximum load

permissible for the programme

selected.

Load

^Unfold the laundry and load loosely

in the drum.

Make sure that no garments are

caught between the drum door and

seal.

^Shut the door with a gentle swing.

Brief instructions

GAdd detergent

The display will then change to the

screen for the detergent percentage.

Detergent

7100%

The percentage shown relates to the

amount of detergent recommended by

the manufacturer on the packaging.

^Pull out the detergent drawer and

place detergent in the compartments.

iDetergent for the pre-wash

jDetergent for the main wash,

including Soak if selected

§Fabric conditioner or liquid starch

HSelect Delay start (if required)

IStart the programme

^Press the flashing Start/Stop button.

JRemove the laundry when the

programme has finished.

Take note of the section "After each

washing or drying programme".

Separate drying

If you have washed with the

maximum load and wish to tumble

dry your laundry afterwards, you

have to halve the load.

^Press Washing/Drying button

repeatedly until only the Drying

indicator light is lit up.

Do not tumble dry loopknit garments!

Spin the garments for at least 30

seconds after washing.

DSelect drying level/thermospin

^Change the drying level with Xor Y

and confirm with OK.

^Change the highlighted thermospin

speed with Xor Y.

ESelect Low temperature (if

required)

FLoad the washer-dryer

^Press the Door button and open the

door.

^Load the loose laundry in the drum.

Do not exceed the maximum level

mark.

GShut the door

Make sure that no garments are

caught between the drum door and

seal.

HStart the programme

^Press the flashing Start/Stop button.

IRemove the laundry when the

programme has finished.

Take note of the section "After each

washing or drying programme".

,Make sure that objects e.g.

detergent dispensing balls have

been removed from the laundry.

They could melt and cause damage

to the dryer or the laundry.

Rinse out fluff programme

The fluff which occurs during drying

can collect in the drum and also in the

suds container. It is best to rinse out

this fluff before the machine is used

again so that it cannot be deposited on

the next load (e.g. fluff from dark

garments being deposited on lighter

coloured items) or cause a blockage.

^Switch on the machine and turn the

programme selector to the Rinse out

fluff programme.

If there is a lot of fluff in the machine,

select the Water plus Extra option.

^Press the flashing Start/Stop button.

^Remove any fluff remaining from

around the door seal and porthole

glass.

Washing and drying without

interruption

^Press Washing/Drying button

repeatedly until Washing and Drying

indicator lights are lit up.

DSelect wash temperature, spin

speed and drying level

^Change these settings with Xor Y

and confirm with OK .

ESelecting Extra options

^Select Extra options, Stains, Low

temperature.

FLoad the washer-dryer

^Open the door and put the laundry in

the drum.

^Take note of the load size indicator.

GShut the door

Make sure that no garments are

caught between the drum door and

seal.

HAdd detergent

^Observe the recommended amount

of detergent.

ISwitch on Delay start

JStart the programme

^Press the flashing Start/Stop button.

KRemove the laundry when the

programme has finished.

Take note of the section "After each

washing or drying programme".

After each washing or drying

programme

^Press the Door button and open the

door fully.

,Caution, the metal cap located

on the inside of the door glass is

very hot after drying. Do not touch

it. It will be hot. Danger of burning!

^Remove the laundry.

^Check the folds in the door seal for

any small articles, e.g. buttons, which

might be lodged there.

^Remove any fluff remaining from

around the door seal and porthole

glass after drying.

Check that all items have been

removed from the drum. Items left

behind could colour run, shrink or

be damaged in the next washing or

drying programme.

Important! Always remove the

laundry before switching the machine

off. This is important to ensure that

the load size indicator works

correctly.

^Switch off the washer-dryer.

^Shut the door.

Washing

The figure quoted in the tub is the

maximum temperature the garment

can be washed at.
