Safety precautions to take if you smell gas
ßTurn off the gas emergency control valve immediately.
This is usually located near the gas meter.
ßEliminate all sources of ignition in a safe manner.
Do not smoke, light cigarette lighters or matches.
ßDo not operate electrical lights or switches, i.e. do not switch them "On" or "Off".
ßOpen all doors and windows to ventilate the area.
ßIf the smell of gas persists, evacuate the building.
In the UK you must now:
ßCall the Gas Emergency Contact Centre (Tel: 0 800 111 999)
For any gas work in the UK always use a Gas Safe registered engineer.
In other countries please follow relevant country specific procedures on gas.

Position of burner components
The burner will only function properly when the components are correctly
positioned:
Notch aon the burner cap must sit in groove bof the burner head.
Notch con the burner head must sit in groove don the burner base.
When the components are in the correct position, they are steady and cannot
be twisted from side to side.

Accessories
Wok ring
The wok ring supplied gives additional stability to the wok,
especially to those with a rounded base.
Combi insert for small and large pans
If you are using a pan which is smaller or larger than that
recommended in the chart under "Pans", then the combi
insert supplied should be used.

~This gas hob is not designed for
commercial use. It is intended for use in
domestic households and in similar
working and residential environments
such as:
–Shops
–Offices and showrooms
and by residents in establishments
such as:
–Hostels and guest houses.
~The gas hob is intended for
domestic use only to cook food and
keep it warm.
Any other use is not supported by the
manufacturer and could be dangerous.
Miele cannot be held liable for damage
resulting from incorrect or improper use
or operation.
~The gas hob is not intended for
outdoor use.
~The gas hob can only be used by
people with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, if they are
supervised whilst using it, or have been
shown how to use it in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
