Safety information
Safety warnings
Work area safety
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or
dark areas invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while
operating a power tool. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
Electrical safety
1. Power tool plugs must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded)
power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
2. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded

is unavoidable, use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD
reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and
use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are
tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention while
operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
2. Use personal protective equipment. Always
wear eye protection. Protective equipment
such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.

3. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure
the switch is in the off-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery
pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying
power tools with your nger on the switch or
energising power tools that have the switch on
invites accidents.
4. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before
turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the power tool
may result in personal injury.
5. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. This enables better control
of the power tool in unexpected situations.
6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing
or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose
clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.
7. If devices are provided for the connection
of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly
used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-
related hazards.
Power tool use and care
1. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the
rate for which it was designed.
2. Do not use the power tool if the switch
does not turn it on and off. Any power tool
that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.

3. Disconnect the plug from the power source
and/or the battery pack from the power tool
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing power tools. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
4. Store idle power tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions
to operate the power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
5. Maintain power tools. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition
that may affect the power tool’s operation. If
damaged, have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
6. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
7. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits
etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions
and the work to be performed. Use of the
power tool for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Battery tool use and care
1. Recharge only with the charger specied by
the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery pack may create a risk of re
when used with another battery pack.

designated battery packs. Use of any other
battery packs may create a risk of injury and re.
3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away
from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a
re.
4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be
ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, ush with water.
If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery
may cause irritation or burns.
Service
1. Have your power tools serviced by a
qualied repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that safety
of the power tool is maintained.
Saw safety warnings
1. Hold power tool by insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation
where the cutting accessory may contact
hidden wiring. Cutting accessory contacting a
"live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the
power tool "live" and could give the operator an
electric shock.
2. Keep hands away from the sawing range. Do
not reach under the workpiece. Contact with
the saw blade can lead to injuries.
3. Apply the product to the workpiece only

when switched on. Otherwise there is danger
of kickback when the cutting accessory jams in
the workpiece.
4. Use only undamaged saw blades that are in
perfect condition. Bent or dull saw blades can
break, negatively inuence the cut, or lead to
kickback.
5. Clamp material well. Do not support the
workpiece with your hand or foot. Do not
touch objects or the oor with the saw running.
Danger of kickback.
6. Always wait until the product has come to
a complete stop before placing it down. The
tool insert can jam and lead to loss of control
over the product.
7. Before any work on the product (e. g.
maintenance, changing the tool, etc.) as well
as during its transport and storage, lock
the On/Off switch in the off position. There
is danger of injury when the On/Off switch is
unintentionally actuated.
8. Always wear a dust mask to protect yourself
against hazards resulting from ne dust.
Maintenance and storage
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply
(i.e. remove the plug from the power supply or
the battery pack) before checking, cleaning or
working on the product and when it is not in use.

service centre or similar qualied specialist.
8. When not in use, store the product out of the
reach of children.
Additional safety warnings for charger
1. This charger can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the charger in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
2. Children shall not play with the charger.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent

hazard.
5. Disconnect the charger from the power supply
and allow it to cool down before cleaning,
maintenance, storage and transportation.
6. Before using the charger, read all the
instructions and cautionary markings on the
charger and battery pack.
7. The charger and battery pack supplied with it
are specically designed to work together. Only
use the charger with the battery pack for this
tool.
8. Charge the battery pack indoors only as the
charger is designed for indoor use only.
9. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
10. Protect the charger against moisture and wet
conditions. There is a danger of electric shock.
11. Do not place any object on top of the charger
as it could cause overheating. Do not place the
charger near any heat source.
12. Do not use an extension cord unless it is
absolutely necessary. The use of an improper
extension cord could cause the risk of re,
electric shock or electrocution.
13. Do not use the charger if it has been subjected
to a heavy knock, dropped or otherwise
damaged in any way. Have the charger checked
and repaired by an authorised service centre.
Additional safety warnings for battery packs
1. Do not attempt to charge the battery pack with
any other charger than the one supplied. The
charger and battery pack supplied with it are
specically designed to work together.
