One touch to your entertainment

Simple tasks should be just that – simple. With Activities,

the Harmony 1100 eliminates the need to use multiple

remotes for simple tasks. Just select the Activity and

the Harmony 1100 does the rest.

For example, when you select Watch a DVD, your

Harmony 1100 (1) powers on your TV and DVD player,

(2) sets all your inputs, and (3) even starts your movie.

Setting up Activities for your Harmony 1100

Creating the Activities that appear

on your Harmony 1100 is quick and easy.

After you enter the manufacturer and model

numbers for your devices in the Harmony Remote

Software, the software walks you through creating

Activities for the things you do most often.

to listening to music with a touch of the screen.

The right buttons for the right devices

After you create your Activities, the Harmony 1100

knows which buttons need to control which devices.

In this example, the AV Receiver is connected to the

volume button, the TV is connected to the Channel

Up/Down button, and the DVD player is connected to

the Play DVD Activity.

Watch the show, not the remote

Use the navigation icons to move around the screens.

Home - takes you to the home screen of your

Harmony remote.

Settings - gives you access to change remote

settings such as the time, date, backlight,

background and volume.

Numeric entry - displays a numeric or alpha-

numeric keypad to change channels, CDs,

etc, depending on the Activity.

Transport control - displays buttons like

Play, Pause, Stop, Replay, and Record when

you are in Activities such as Watch TV,

Watch a DVD, or Play a CD.

Navigation icons continued

Favorite Channels - displays a list of your fa-

vorite channels in the Watch TV Activity. To use

this feature, you must set up favorite channels

in the setup software.

Custom Control - displays secondary Activity

controls (depending on the Activity) as well as

displays your customized buttons.

Game Controller - gives you access to your

game controller when you play DVDs and CDs

using your game console.

Back - returns you to the previous screen.

Looking for a button to do something speciﬁc?

That’s easy!

You can use the Harmony Remote Software

to customize the buttons on the remote. For example,

you can change the buttons on the sidebar from A, B,

C to picture and picture commands.

If a device doesn’t do what you expect when you choose an

Activity, press the Help button. The Harmony 1100 asks you

yes or no questions and, based on your responses, sends the

commands to get everything back on track.

Creating a slideshow

With the Harmony Remote Software, you can create a

slideshow of your favorite pictures that will show on

your Harmony 1100 screen.

Activities

The Harmony 1100 puts all your favorite channels in

one spot!

Using the Harmony Remote Software, choose the

channels you watch most often and they will appear

in one location on the remote’s screen.

You can even add graphics and logos for each

channel.

Always be up-to-date

As new devices come on the market, we add them

to our device list. We also enhance the software that

drives your remote, so it’s important to update it

every so often!

If your remote isn’t controlling your devices

ﬂawlessly, simply connect the remote to your

computer and use the Harmony Remote Software to

update your remote.
