Setup Steps
1. Turn off your computer and all connected peripherals.
2. Disconnect your computer from all power sources.
3. Open the computer’s case. Refer to your computer’s User Manual for
more details.
4. Find an available PCI Express Slot and remove the slot bracket. Save the
bracket screw for later use. (A)
5. Align the card with the PCI Express Slot and insert it into the slot
firmly and evenly. Be careful not to force it into the slot. Once you have
properly positioned the card into the slot, fasten it to the computer case with
the bracket screw. (B)
6. Replace the computer case and switch on your computer.
For Mac Users: The LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card is plug & play and does
not require driver installation.
For PC Users: There are no drivers to install for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and
Windows 7. The LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card has the drivers built into the
BIOS for these operating systems.
FR Procédure d’installation
1. Éteignez votre ordinateur et tous les périphériques qui y sont raccordés.
2. Débranchez votre ordinateur de toutes les sources d’alimentation.
3. Ouvrez le boîtier de l’ordinateur. Reportez-vous au manuel d’utilisation de l’ordinateur pour tout
complément d’information.
4. Trouvez un logement de carte PCI Express vide et retirez son support. Mettez la vis de côté car vous
en aurez besoin plus tard. (A)
5. Alignez la carte sur le logement PCI Express et insérez-la fermement et régulièrement dans ce
dernier. Évitez de forcer pour l’insérer. Une fois la carte correctement positionnée dans le logement,
fixez ce dernier au boîtier de l’ordinateur à l’aide de la vis. (B)
6. Refermez le boîtier de l’ordinateur et mettez l’ordinateur sous tension.
Utilisateurs Mac : la carte LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express est dotée de la fonctionnalité Plug & Play et
ne requiert l’installation d’aucun pilote.
Utilisateurs Windows : aucun pilote ne doit être installé pour Windows XP, Windows Vista et Windows 7.
La carte LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express intègre les pilotes dans le BIOS pour ces systèmes d’exploitation.
IT Procedure di installazione
1. Spegnere il computer e tutte le periferiche ad esso collegate.
2. Scollegare il computer da tutte le fonti di alimentazione.
3. Aprire il casing del computer. Per informazioni più dettagliate, consultare la Guida per l’utente
del computer.
4. Individuare uno slot PCI Express libero e rimuovere la staffa dallo slot. Conservare la vite della staffa
per poterla utilizzare in seguito. (A)
5. Allineare la scheda allo slot PCI Express e inserirla al suo interno, verificando che sia correttamente
allineata. Non spingere con forza la scheda all’interno dello slot. Dopo avere posizionato
correttamente la scheda, fissarla al casing del computer con la vite della staffa (B)
6. Rimontare il casing e accendere il computer.
Utenti Mac: La scheda LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card è plug & play e non richiede l’installazione
di driver specifici.
Utenti PC: Non è necessario installare alcun driver per Windows XP, Windows Vista e Windows 7.
Per tali sistemi operativi, la scheda LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card è fornita di driver incorporati
nel BIOS.
DE Einrichtung Schritt für Schritt

5. Richten Sie die Karte am PCI-Express-Steckplatz aus und drücken Sie sie gleichmäßig und fest in
den Steckplatz. Wenden Sie dabei keinen übermäßigen Druck an. Nachdem Sie die Karte
ordnungsgemäß im Steckplatz angebracht haben, befestigen Sie sie mit der Blechhalteschraube
am Computergehäuse. (B)
6. Bringen Sie das Computergehäuse wieder an und schalten Sie den Computer ein.
Mac: Die LaCie FireWire 800 PCI-Express-Karte bietet Plug&Play-Funktionalität, so dass keine Treiber
installiert werden müssen.
PC: Für Windows XP, Windows Vista und Windows 7 müssen keine Treiber installiert werden. Für diese
Betriebssysteme sind die Treiber der LaCie FireWire 800 PCI-Express-Karte in das BIOS integriert.

6. Volver a colocar la carcasa del ordenador y encenderlo.
Usuarios de Mac: la tarjeta LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card es plug & play y no requiere la
instalación de controladores.
Usuarios de PC: no es necesario instalar drivers para Windows XP, Windows Vista y Windows 7.
La tarjeta LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card tiene los controladores integrados en el BIOS para
estos sistemas operativos.

4. Zoek een beschikbare PCI Express-sleuf en verwijder de beugel van de sleuf. Bewaar het schroefje
van de beugel voor later gebruik. (A)
5. Houd de kaart boven de PCI Express-sleuf en plaats de kaart stevig en gelijk in de sleuf.
Gebruik hierbij niet te veel kracht. Bevestig de kaart met de beugelschroef aan de behuizing
van de computer nadat u de kaart correct in de sleuf hebt geplaatst. (B)
6. Sluit de behuizing van de computer en schakel de computer in.
Voor Mac-gebruikers: de LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card is voorzien van plug &
play-functionaliteit waardoor geen stuurprogramma moet worden geïnstalleerd.
Voor pc-gebruikers: u hoeft geen stuurprogramma’s voor Windows XP, Windows Vista en Windows 7 te
installeren. De stuurprogramma’s voor de LaCie FireWire 800 PCI Express Card zijn ingebouwd in het
BIOS voor deze besturingssystemen.
