that can be repaired by the user. Ask for

assistance by qualied personnel.

Important Warnings

1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible

with the appliance’s. If this is not the case

please consult the Customer Support Ser-

vice.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to discon-

nect the appliance. Also, keep the cord

away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged

cable or socket.

Take it to the Technical Support Service for

replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places.

Do not allow the appliance to become wet

under any circumstances as this may be

dangerous. To avoid re hazard or electric

shock do not expose your appliance to humi-

dity or water. Furthermore, do not place your

appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch off the ap-

pliance and remove the plug from the main

power supply. Always allow the unit to cool

down before cleaning.

To clean the exterior of the product use a

dry soft cloth only.

2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

PRECAUTIONS:

1. For AC operation, make sure the voltage is compatible. Always

use the provided AC power cord; never use other AC power cords.

For DC operation, simply insert three “UM-2 / C” batteries.

2. Always disconnect the AC power cord from the AC power source

when it is not in use or when battery power is in use.

3. Do not leave the batteries in the unit for extended periods of time

unless it is in operation. Remove the batteries to avoid leakage

and damage.

4. Do not expose the unit to extreme temperature nor to high humidity

in order to ensure normal functioning and a long lifetime.

For instance, never place the unit in bathing areas nor around

stoves or radiators.

5. If you nd the unit is not working properly, please take it to your

nearest service centre. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself.

WARNING:

To prevent a re or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or

moisture.

To avoid an electrical shock, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself.

Any repairs should be carried out by a service agent or a qualied

engineer only.

2.2. Using the Product

Battery Supply

Open the battery compartment and insert two type R14, UM2 or C

batteries as indicated in the compartment.

The battery supply is switched off when the set is connected to the

mains. To change over to battery supply, pull out the plug from the

MAINS socket.

Mains Supply

Connect the mains lead to a wall socket. Ensure the mains Supply

is switched on.

To disconnect the set from the mains completely, pull the mains plug

from the wall socket.

Radio

1. Select the wave band using the RADIO BAND SELECTOR.

2. Adjust the sound with the VOLUME CONTROL.

3. You may connect stereo 3.5mm headphones with 3.5mm to the

HEADPHONE JACK, which will then mute the loudspeakers.

4. Tune into a radio station using the RADIO TUNING CONTROL.

To improve reception:

For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial. To improve FM Reception

incline and turn the aerial, reduce its length if the FM-signal is too

strong (very close to a transmitter).

For AM, the set is provided with a built-in aerial, so there is no need to

use the telescopic aerial. Turn the set to nd the best position.

4. POSTSALE SERVICE

KUNFT has designed this appliance in order to guarantee maximum

reliability. However, if a problem occurs do not attempt to open the

appliance - there is a risk of electrical shock. If you are not able to

solve the problem, please contact the Costumer Support Service

of any Worten, Modelo or Continente store in order to be assisted.

manufacturing defects from the date of purchase of the appliance.

WARNING: Any attempt to repair the appliance without contacting

the manufacturer or seller will void the warranty.

All users must be familiar with these instructions. Knowing what

could go wrong can help prevent problems from occurring.

5. ENVIRONMENTAL

PROTECTION

In order to protect the environment we strive to reduce

the volume of packaging used, limiting it to three easily

sorted materials: cardboard, paper and plastic. The

appliance is manufactured using recyclable materials

after disassembled by a specialized company. Please

comply with local regulations concerning the recycling of

all materials.

1.1. Alimentación

Compruebe que la tensión de la red eléctri-

ca es compatible con la indicada en el apa-

rato. En caso de que no sea compatible,

consulte al Servicio de Atención al Cliente.

1.2. Cable de alimentación y otros

cables

No enrolle el cable de alimentación ni tire

de él para desenchufar el aparato. Asimis-

mo, manténgalo alejado de supercies ca-

lientes.

Nunca utilice este aparato si el cable o el

enchufe están dañados.

En su lugar, llévelo a un servicio técnico au-

torizado para que proceda a su sustitución.

1.3. Humedad y agua

No utilice el aparato en lugares húmedos.

No deje que el aparato se moje en ningu-

na circunstancia, pues puede ser peligroso.

Para evitar el peligro de incendio o descarga

eléctrica, no exponga el aparato al agua o la

humedad. Asimismo, no sumerja el aparato

(por ejemplo, para limpiarlo).

1.4. Limpieza

Antes de proceder a la limpieza del aparato,

apáguelo y desconecte el cable de la co-

2. INSTRUCCIONES DE

FUNCIONAMIENTO

PRECAUCIONES:

1. Para el funcionamiento CA, asegúrese de que el voltaje sea

compatible. Siempre utilice el cable CA incluido; nunca utilice

otros cables de alimentación CA.

Para un funcionamiento en CD, bastará introducir tres pilas

«UM-2/C».

2. Retire siempre el cable CA de la fuente de alimentación CA cuando

no esté en uso o cuando se utilice la alimentación a pilas.

3. No deje las pilas en el equipo durante periodos de tiempo

prolongados, a menos que esté en funcionamiento. Retire las

pilas para evitar fugas y daños.

4. No exponga el equipo a temperaturas extremas ni a humedades

elevadas, para poder garantizar un funcionamiento normal y una

vida útil prolongada.

Por ejemplo, nunca coloque el equipo en áreas de baño ni cerca

de estufas o radiadores.

5. Si considera que el equipo no está funcionando correctamente,

llévelo a su centro de servicio técnico más cercano. No intente

repararlo por su cuenta.

ADVERTENCIA:

Para impedir que se produzca un incendio o una descarga eléctrica,

proteja su equipo de la lluvia o la humedad.

Para evitar una descarga eléctrica, no intente reparar el equipo por

2.2. Utilización del producto

Alimentación a pilas

Abra el compartimento de pilas e introduzca dos pilas de tipo R14,

UM2 o C, tal como se indica en el compartimento.

La alimentación de pilas se desconectará cuando el aparato sea

conectado a la red. Para cambiar a la alimentación de pilas, retire el

enchufe de la toma de red.

Alimentación de red

Conecte el cable de red a una toma de corriente. Asegúrese de que

la alimentación de red está conectada.

Para desconectar totalmente el aparato de la red, retire el enchufe

de la toma de corriente.

Radio

1. Seleccione la banda de onda utilizando el SELECTOR DE

BANDAS DE RADIO.

2. Ajuste el sonido con el CONTROL DE VOLUMEN.

3. Puede conectar un par de auriculares estéreo de 3,5 mm al

CONECTOR PARA AURICULARES, lo cual hará silenciar los

altavoces.

4. Sintonice una emisora de radio utilizando el CONTROL SINTONI-

ZADOR DE RADIO.

Para mejorar la recepción:

Para la FM, extraiga la antena telescópica. Para mejorar la recepción

en FM incline y gire la antena; acórtela si la señal FM es demasiado

fuerte (muy cerca de un transmisor).

Para la AM, el aparato cuenta con una antena interna, no hace

falta utilizar la antena telescópica. Gire el aparato para encontrar la

posición apropiada.
