repair this product. Doing so will violate
the terms of the warranty.
DO NOT use bare hands to check for oil
leaks. High-pressure oil can penetrate
the skin and cause severe damage.

operating this product. Projectiles or
hydraulic fluid can cause serious injury.
Read all instructions and warnings
carefully. Follow all safety precautions
to avoid injury or damage to property.
DO NOT use this tool on glass, plastic,
wood or any other materials which
could shatter. Do not exceed equipment
ratings.
Two-handed operation of this tool is
required at all times. Maintain a firm
grip on both handles when in use.

1. Stay alert while using this hydrau-
lic equipment to prevent serious
injury. Do not use under the influ-
ence of drugs, alcohol or medi-
cine.
2. Do not wear loose hair or clothes
that may get caught while the
equipment is in operation.
3. To reduce the risk of injury, wear
nonconductive gloves and non-
skid safety-shoes. Always wear
protective eyewear.
4. Work safely. Maintain your bal-
ance and do not reach while oper-
ating hydraulic tools.

accessories with this tool.
6. Do not use this tool in wet condi-
tions. Store this tool in a dry

ERVICE
1. This tool must be repaired by
qualified technicians. Do not
attempt to disassemble or repair
this tool yourself.
2. When having the tool serviced,
always use identical KuDos
replacement parts.

• Keep the tool head free of dirt and metal chips. Use a
lubricant to clean the tool when necessary.
• DO NOT let the tool drop to the ground or into the case to
avoid damage to internal parts or to the plastic case.
• DO NOT keep this tool in places with high temperatures,
high humidity, or direct sunlight.
• Suggested working temperatures are -10°C to 40°C. Check
hydraulic fluid specifications.
• Hydraulic fluid temperatures over 65°C might soften seals
and cause fluid leaks.
• DO NOT DISASSEMBLE OR ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THIS TOOL.

ATTENTION:
• KuDos hydraulic tools must be serviced by a qualified
technician.
• Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately. Do not
use any parts not supplied by KuDos.
• Contact KuDos service representatives to request parts or
for problems not shown here.

• Max. tip clearance: 33 mm/32 mm
• Max. spread: 81 mm
• Integrated wedge concept: friction-free parallel
wedge movement eliminates flange damage and
spreading arm failure.
• Unique interlocking wedge design: no first step
bending and risk of slipping out of joint.
• Requires very small access gap of only 6mm (.24 in.)
• Two-stage pumping action
• Accessories: Spreader block, KuDos® tool bag, and
stepped-block extension kit. (Optional: wrench
used for model K-SW9TM)

EATURES
:
KuDos® Stepped Blocks can be used in a joint with
a wider gap or used to open a joint up to 3.16 in.
(81mm) further with less penetration. Fits both the
K-SW15TE and K-SW9TM models.
The stepped blocks can be attached by using the
supplied countersunk screws and hex key.

Before attaching the tool ensure at least
two ange bolts remain in place 180
degrees apart with nuts loosened
sufciently enough for ange work to
be carried out. These bolts will reduce
lateral ange movement during ange
spreading.
Strongly recommended that two K-SW15TE wedges be
used on the flange joint positioned 180 degrees apart.
Prime each pump individually ensuring that the flange
joint opens evenly.
The safety block should be inserted into the joint and
the pressure released when the joint has been opened
to the desired or the maximum spreading distance.
