How to Configure your Konftel 300Wx Phone
BRIEFING
Zang Office supports the Konftel 300Wx conference telephone. Before it can be used with Zang Office,
the phone must be connected and configured for the Cloud, and that is what we will cover here.

CONFIGURATION
Zang Office
1. In a web browser, open the Zang Office administrator console and select a user who will use the
Konftel phone. Click in the Devices column for that user.
2. Select New Device. From the dropdown menu, choose SIP Phone.
3. If prompted to select a maker of telephones, choose The brand of my device is not listed here.

4. Give the device a user friendly name.
Record the SIP Username, the SIP Password, and the Realm.
When ready, click Save Changes.
Hint: Click within the SIP Password field to reveal the password.

Konftel Telephone
The telephone must be configured to find and login to the Zang Office server in the Cloud.
Before you start:
•Ensure the telephone battery is fully charged.
•Connect the AC adapter and your network Ethernet cable to the base station.
An orange light on the front of the base station shows that the unit is starting up. When the light turns
green, you can continue.
1. Turn on the telephone. Once it boots up, the display will show Start Registration.
Click OK. The phone will connect to the base station and the display will change when ready.
2. After a moment, the main screen appears.
3. Retrieve the IP address of the base station through the telephone display.
Press the Settings button and scroll down to highlight Status. Click OK.

4. Scroll down until you see IP ADDRESS. Record the value.

Konftel Web Console
1. Open a web browser and enter the IP address into the address bar. Log in with the administrator
username (“admin” by default) and password (“admin” by default).
2. In the left-hand menu, choose Servers and click Add Server.
3. Enter the following values in the specified fields.
Server Alias: Give the server a human friendly name.
Registrar: Enter the realm of your Zang Office account, and include :7000 to define the port.
Outbound Proxy: Use either us-east.office.zang.io or us-west.office.zang.io for the
Address, whichever is closest to your location.
When ready, click Save to create the new server.

4. Go to the Extensions menu. Select the number (IDX) for an extension (or click Add extension) to
edit its configuration. Typically, use the first extension for the administrator’s account.
5. Enter the following values into the specified fields.
Extension: Type in the SIP Username from your Zang Office account.
Authentication User Name: Also put the SIP Username in this space.
Authentication Password: Enter the SIP Password from Zang Office here.
Display Name (optional): Provide a name for the mailbox for the telephone display.
Mailbox Name (optional): Give the mailbox a name.
Mailbox Number (optional): Add an extension number.
When ready, click Save.

6. Click Check All Extensions, then select Start SIP Registration(s) and the telephone(s) will be
connected to Zang Office.
7. The value for State should now read SIP Registered. Test the integration by placing a telephone
call to another number.
Add a new extension for each person who will be using the system. Each user will have a unique SIP
Username and SIP Password, but the realm will be the same for everyone at the company.
The integration is complete. The telephone is connected to the selected user(s) in Zang Office.
Note: The base station can support a maximum of 20 extensions at one time.
