GENERAL INFORMATION
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should always be followed including the
following:
Read all safety information carefully and thoroughly before using this
product!
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
The appliance is not intended for use by young children. Individuals unfamiliar
with this appliance must be adequately supervised by a responsible person to
ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
To avoid personal injury keep hands and utensils out of the grinder and away
from its sharp blade during operation.
Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning.
Do not operate grinder continuously for more than 20 seconds.
Make sure the motor stops completely and the unit is unplugged from the
electrical outlet before cleaning.
Avoid contact with moving parts.
To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put main base or power cord
in water or any other liquid.
Do not operate this or any appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
If grinder stops due to improper operation or if there is excessive noise, turn
power off, wait for blades to stop spinning, unplug from electrical outlet. DO
NOT open the main base to repair. Return appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return

Do not let power cord hang over the edge of table, counter, or let cord touch
hot surfaces such as stoves.
Always operate your grinder on a flat, dry, stable surface.

Never pull power cord to remove from outlet.
Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. Always use caution when washing your
grinder blades.
Always operate grinder with cover in place.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The
warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood
by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built
into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal
injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is
exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is
necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and
at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape
over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over accidentally.
POLARIZED PLUG
NOTE: This coffee and spice grinder has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other).
As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended
to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
SAFETY WARNING
Although your coffee and spice grinder is easy to operate, for your safety, the
warnings below must be followed:
1. Do not place the coffee and spice grinder near a heat source.
2. Never leave the coffee and spice grinder unattended while connected to the
electrical outlet.
3. Use the coffee and spice grinder on a stable work surface away from water.
4. Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
5. The coffee and spice grinder must be unplugged:
A. After each use.
B. If it appears to be faulty.
C. Before cleaning or maintenance.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place grinder base on a sturdy level surface.
2. Unwrap cord and place the cord in the notch in the base to ensure it is level.
3. Remove the lid by turning it counterclockwise.
4. Fill the grinding chamber with coffee beans/spices. You may fill up to but not
exceeding the silver line, approximately ½ cup. With spices that are larger or
hard, such as black peppercorns, it is best to use smaller amounts when
grinding. More pulsing may be needed to make sure the spices are properly
ground.
5. Place the lid on the grinder base and turn clockwise to lock into place. The
arrows on the lid do not need to line up with the arrow on the base to lock the
lid into place.
6. Plug the grinder into an electrical outlet.
7. Press and hold the On/Off button to grind beans/spices until desired
consistency, up to 20 seconds.
8. DO NOT open the lid before the blade has stopped completely.
GRINDING SUGGESTIONS
Some general guidelines for grinding are listed below. However, times will vary
depending upon the amount of coffee used and your personal preference.

Coarse Percolator/ French Press 10 Seconds
Medium Automatic Drip 15 Seconds
Fine Espresso 20 Seconds
GRINDING SPICES
1. The grinder can also grind dry, brittle spices.
2. The grinder will not grind any food/spice that is moist, extremely hard or
gummy such as chocolate, sesame seeds or oily spices such as cinnamon,
cloves or nutmeg.
3. DO NOT grind peanuts or grains such as wheat, rice barley or dried corn.
Attempt to grind these food may damage your coffee grinder.
NOTE: The grinder’s transparent plastic lid may absorb certain spice flavors.
Wash lid thoroughly after grinding dry spices.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
ALWAYS be sure that the Coffee and Spice Grinder is unplugged and completely
cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE the
base in water or any other liquid.
1. It is important to clean out your Coffee and Spice Grinder thoroughly after
each use to prevent build ups that may be difficult to clean later. Keeping your
grinder clean is essential in achieving the best tasting results. Most coffee
beans contain oils that may, over time, become stronger in flavor and could
affect the taste of your coffee.
2. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
3. Remove all coffee and/or spices after each grinding. A small soft brush or cloth
is helpful in removing ground coffee and spices from the lid and blades.
4. Wipe the inside of grinder lid and blades very carefully with a warm damp
cloth. Use caution while wiping near the grinder blades.
5. Grinder base can be wiped down with a damp cloth. NEVER IMMERSE grinder
base in water or any other liquid.
6. Plastic lid can be washed in warm soapy water.
7. All parts must be thoroughly dry before next use.
