large

distances

from

transmitter

the

cur-

vature

of

the

earth

acts

as

a

screen

between

transmitter

and

receiver.

Consider

the

signal

conditions

in

planning

your

installation.

If

you

live

in

or

near

an

urban

area

the

indoor

antenna

(supplied)

may

serve

your

needs

adequately.

However,

if

favorite

sta-

tions

are

weak

due

to

natural

obstructions,

or

if

you

live

in

a

building

which

is

made

of

steel-reinforced

concrete

(which

acts

as

a

shield)

it

may

be

necessary

to
