1. Installation.
First install the Skypemate software for Windows from the supplied driver CD-ROM. Locate the
.exe file that is on the disc. If the disc does not show up automatically with the auto-run feature,
then please browse to your CD/DVD drive and locate this setup file. Double click on it and follow
the instructions on the screen.
If you get a message saying that the software has not passed the Windows Logo testing, then
click Continue Anyway to finish the installation of the software. Once installed, locate the following
icon on the desktop: . Double click on it to run the Skypemate software. Connect the base of the
phone to the USB port of your PC. The connections are shown below:
Please install the battery as the picture shows below. The LCD shows . If nothing is shown,
please place the handset on the base, the battery will be charged then.
If the LCD shows , that indicates the handset has not been registered to the base. Please do
the following steps:
(1) Press and hold the Ckey on the handset (approx.3 sec.) until four lines are displayed on the
LCD.
(2) Press and hold the Hands free key (approx.3 sec.) until the LCD shows . This indicates
the handset has been registered to the base.

2. Description of the keys on the phone and base
Press to display the Skype contact list.
Press to call the Skype ID shown on the display.
Press while calling to put a call on hold, press again to
release the call.
Press to get a dial tone for PSTN, then dial the number.
Press to show a PSTN number shown in the display.
C Press to clear number.
Press to display the contact list.
Use this key also to delete the call history if needed.
/Up or down in menu.
Press to scroll incoming/outgoing call list, Skype contacts
and contact list.
End call or reject incoming Skype call.
Press to scroll through ring tones.
0-9 Use keys to dial a PSTN number
The base has the following key and indicator light:
Hands free Key:
(1) Press to activate the hands free function when talking.
(2) Press to turn on the speaker while in ready state.
(3) Press and hold to register the handset.
Speaker light:
(1) The speaker light will flash, when pressing the hands free key during a call via the handset.
(2) The speaker light will be on when hands free function is activated, otherwise it is off.
Charging indicator light:
(1) When the handset’s battery is full, the light will be on.
(2) When the handset’s battery is flat, the light will flash.
(3) When the handset is taken away from the base, the light will be off.

3. Software (Skymate)
Double-click the icon on the desktop, the Skype program will pop up as shown below:
Select the first option "Allow this program to use Skype", click "OK" button.
After running SkypeMate, the icon will appear to the system tray as shown below:
This indicates the device and Skype are connected successfully.
- If the icon is shown as (the phone is green and the outside is grey), please run Skype
first.
- If the icon is shown as (the phone is red and the outside is green), it means the USB
Wireless Phone is connected incorrectly. Please reconnect USB Wireless Phone to PC and
try again.
