Handlebar Limiting Ring
• The handlebar limiting ring is intended to limit the steering radius for the front wheel to approximately
90° to the left and right. If not already attached, attach this exible ring to the vertical frame of the
front wheel fork as shown in gure (7A).
• Make sure the orientation of the ring is as is shown in this gure. You may have to rotate the ring
slightly around its attachment screw to achieve this orientation.
• This limiting ring may be detached from the vertical frame of the front wheel fork so that an older
child can turn the front wheel further to the left and right than the limiting ring allows. (7B)
• Do not remove the limiting ring from the angled frame bar.

IWARNING: Check and adjust tire pressure before riding.
Adjusting the Seat
Adjust the seat tube to a proper position based on the child’s height as follows.
• Identify the seat clamp under the seat and rotate the quick-release lever clockwise to release it.(8)
• Raise/lower the seat to the desired height, make sure the safety line is NOT visible and the seat is
in line with the wheels. (9)
• Rotate the quick-release lever counter clockwise to tighten it. (10)
• If the lever cannot be completely locked in place, turn the adjustment knob on the bracket ¼ turn
counter clockwise to loosen it. (11) Again, rotate the quick-release lever counter clockwise to
tighten it.
• Repeat this process until the quick-release lever can be tightened securely.
• Push and pull on the seat to make sure it is secure.
• If the seat can be moved up or down, it is too loose. Unlock the quick-release lever and turn the
adjustment knob clockwise a small amount.
• Tighten the quick-release lever and check to be sure the seat cannot move up or down.
• Repeat this process until the quick-release lever can be tightened and the seat cannot move up or down.
• Check for the correct seat height by having your child sit on the seat. Make sure your child’s feet
touch the ground and your child is able to walk. If necessary, adjust the seat height in order to
make sure that your child is comfortable on the balance bike. The correct seat height is essential
for proper function.
IWARNING: Make sure the quick-release lever and

Care & Maintenance
Maintenance
All of the bolts & nuts, clamps, and other hardware and plastic parts on the balance bike should be
inspected periodically to ensure that they are secured properly and not damaged or malfunctioning.
All moving parts, such as wheels should also be checked periodically to ensure they are operating
properly.
Check tire pressure periodically. See tire side wall for correct pressure. DO NOT overinate the tires.
Any missing, broken, or worn components should be replaced immediately, and the balance bike
should not be used until they are replaced. Only original manufacturer’s components should be
used. If needed, please contact Joovy (USA) or ELFE JUVENILE PRODUCTS. (Canada) at our toll-free
phone number.
Color fading may occur if the balance bike is left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. When not
in use, store the balance bike out of direct sunlight.
Cleaning
The plastic, metal and magnesium material on the balance bike can be cleaned using mild household
soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth. Always allow product to completely
air dry before use.
The frame and wheels should always be kept clean and free of dirt and foreign matter, especially
