Tyrin balPen Kits Assembly Instructions
Required Accessories:
• 7mm, Mandrel Pin
• 10.5mm Drill
• 12.5mm Drill
• Bushing Set BU2001a
• Penmill PM014 and PM016
PREPARING THE BLANKS
1. Cut the blanks slightly longer than the tubes.
2. Drill the holes.
Drill a 12.5mm hole lengthwise through the center of the shorter blank that is in front of the cap.
Then drill a hole with a 10.5mm length through the center of the longer blank that will be for the pen
body.
3. Glue tubes into the blanks
4. Cut blanks to length with the penmill or by sanding.

This pin uses a set of four bushings BU2001a.
6. Now you can rotate the blanks

Assemble the Pen
Please refer to the Pen Parts diagram
Occasionally, you will encounter parts that are a little loose fitting. This can be corrected by using a
SMALL spot of glue, usually CA, on these parts before pressing them home.
1. Press the nib assembly into the small end of the lower barrel (long tube).
2. Press the transmission adaptor into the other end of this tube.
3. Insert the refill. Make sure that the spring is in place on the tip end of the refill.
4. Screw the twist mechanism onto the twist holder. Check for proper operation.
5. Slide the decorative rings onto the center band.
6. Press this assembly into one end of the cap blank (short tube).
7. Press the transmission extension into the finial until it stops. Be careful not to distort the
extension.
8. Slide the finial and extension through the hole in the clip.
9. Press the finial/clip assembly into the other end of the cap blank.
10. Push the cap onto the barrel assembly and check the operation of your new Ballpoint Pen.
