•BIDI modules use different central wavelengths in transmit and receive directions, in order to
implement bidirectional transmission of optical signals over the same fiber.
•The BIDI modules must be used in pairs. For example, if you install the
SFP-GE-LX-SM1310-BIDI in the local port, you must install the SFP-GE-LX-SM1490-BIDI in the
peer port.
