This

instrument

was

thoroughly

tested

and

inspected

before

being

shipped

and

ready

for

use

when

received.

After

the

instrument

unpacked,

should

inspected

for

damage

received

transit.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CONTROLS AND TERMINALS

POWER

This

toggle

switch

controls

the

power

sup-

plied

the

instrument

from

the

power

line.

When

the

switch

the

position

the

red

indicator

lamp

above

the

switch

will

glow.

LINE

AMP

The

fus

eholder,

located

the

control

panel,

contains

a 4

ampere

cartridge

fuse

for

the

protection

the

whole

instrument.

The

fuse

may

replaced

turning

the

fuse-

holder

cap,

removing

the

old

fuse,

and

in-

serting

new

fuse.

Replacement

fuses

for

this

instrument

must

the

"Slo-Blo"

type

specified

the

Replaceable

Parts

List.

panel,

1/16

ampere

cartridge

fuse

for

the

protection

-300

volt

fixed

bias

supply.

The

fus

may

replaced

turn-

ing

the

fuseholder

cap,

removing

the

old

fuse,

and

inserting

new

fuse.

NOTE

this

fuse

blows,

the

positive

high

voltage

regulator

circuit

will

drop

the

voltage

level

less

than

100

volts,

thus

protect-

ing

external

equipment

cir-

cuits

against

the

pos

ibility

damage

due

loss

bias

When

the

openfuse

replaced,

all

cir-

cuits

restore

normal.

eholder,

located

the

control

panel,

contains

amper

cartridge

fus

for

the

protection

The

fuse

may

replaced

turning

the

fuseholder

cap,

removing

the

fuse,

Connect

the

power

cable

the

POWER

switch

ON.

NOTE

The

triple

-conductor

power

cable

supplied

with

the

new

NEMA

approv-

three-prong

plug.

The

third

con-

ductor

provides

chassis

ground.

GENERAL

The

Model

Power

Supply

furnishes

two

separate

regulated

supplies:

positive

high

voltage

the

0-500

volt

range

and

bias

voltage.

group

series

regulator

tubes

(pentodes

V3-V6),

the

milliammeter,

and

then

the

high

voltage

output

terminal,

+HV.

The

amplifier

compares
