Chapter 1. Introduction

1.1 Features

Multilingual OSD adjustment

Compatible with IBM VGA, extended VGA, VESAVGA, SVGA, XGA, and WXGAmodes

Wide range of applicable voltages (AC 100-240V 50/60Hz) enables direct use without any

setting.

Plug-and-play VESA DDC1/ 2B Standard.

If any of these items are missing, please contact your dealer for technical support and customer

service. To locate driver and software updates for your product, go to http://www.hp.com/support .

Select Get software and drivers , and then follow the on-screen instructions.

1.3 Regulatory Information

For safety and regulatory information, refer to the Product Notices document provided with your

monitor.

Note: Be sure to save original box and all packing materials for future transport.

Chapter 2. Installation

2.1Install the pedestal

Follow the steps illustrated below to install the pedestal for your model.

Note: The following illustrations are for reference. Your model may have a different bezel, back

cover and stand.

1. Lay the display head face down on a flat surface covered by a clean, dry cloth.

2. Attach the top of the stand arm into the hole on the rear bottom of the display.

The stand arm will click into the hole of the display.

3. Attach the base into the bottom of the stand arm until the center holes are

aligned and automatically locked.

2.2Connect your monitor to your computer

1. Power off and unplug your computer.

2. For analog operation, connect the 15-pin end of the signal cable to the VGA port of your monitor and

the VGA OUT jack on the back of your computer. For digital operation, connect the HDMI cable to

the HDMI port on the monitor and the HDMI port on the back of the computer. For Audio

function(option), connect the Audio cable to the Audio-inport on the monitor and the Audio-out port

on the back of the computer

3. Connect one end of the power cord to the monitor, then connect the other end of the power cord to

the nearest electrical outlet.

WARNING! To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:

Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding plug is an important safety feature.

Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet that is easily accessible at all times.

Disconnect power from the equipment by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet.

For your safety, do not place anything on power cords or cables. Arrange them so that no one may

accidentally step on or trip over them. Do not pull on a cord or cable. When unplugging from the

electrical outlet, grasp the cord by the plug.

4. Power on your computer and monitor. If your monitor displays an image, the installation has been

successfully done. If the monitor does not display any image, check all the connections.

Cautions: 1. For installation, complete the signal cord connection before plugging the power cord into

the electrical outlet to avoid damaging the monitor.

2. During installation, support the front frame with your hand at its center of gravity to avoid

dropping and damaging the monitor.



1. AC power supply input

3. VGA signal input

4. Audio jack input (Optional)

2.3Disconnect the pedestal for shipping

Press the release button on the rear bottom of display and remove the pedestal from the stand.

Note: The following illustrations are for reference. Your model may have a different bezel, back

cover and stand.

1. Lay the display head face down on a flat surface covered by a clean, dry cloth.

as showed in below drawing and then pull out the stand to

separate from the display head.

2. Press the release button 1

3. Click the button in the bottom side of base to release the base from stand.

Chapter 3. Monitor overview

3.1 Overview of front panel controls

Note: The following illustration is for reference. Your model may have a different on-screen display

(OSD) button icon.

Function

Menu / OK

Opens the OSD menu or select items on the OSD menu.

Information / Minus

Information: Shows Monitor Information Window.

Minus: If the OSD menu is on, press to navigate backward

through the OSD menu and decrease adjustment levels.

View Modes / Plus

View Modes: If the OSD menu is inactive, press to switch

the color modes.

Plus: If the OSD menu is on, press to navigate forward

through the OSD menu and increase adjustment levels.

AutoAdjustment /

AutoAdjustment: If the OSD menu is inactive, press to

activate the auto-adjustment feature to optimize the screen

image (For VGA).

Brightness /

Brightness: Adjustment the brightness level (For HDMI).

Exit

Exit: If the OSD menu is on, press to save any changes

made and exit the OSD menu.

Power

Turn the monitor on or off.

Note : * Buttons 2-4 are function buttons that can be changed from their default settings in the OSD menu to a

different menu selection that you most commonly use and want to quickly access .Refer to section 3.2 for more

information

through the OSD menu and decrease adjustment levels.

through the OSD menu and increase adjustment levels.

Next Input /

Next Input: If the OSD menu is inactive, press to active the

input control to select the different source.

Exit

Exit: If the OSD menuis on, press to save any changes

made and exit the OSD menu.

Power

Turn the monitor on or off.

3.2 Assigning the Function buttons

Pressing the Menu button or one of the Function buttons activates the buttons and displays the icons on the right

side of the buttons. The factory default button icons and functions are shown below.
