IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Read all the instructions through before starting

to use the fan heater. Keep this user’s manual

safely for future reference.

1. Install the fan heater in a location that is

inaccessible to children.

2. Do not operate the fan heater outdoors.

3. Place the fan heater on a ﬁrm, even surface.

Make sure the fan heater is standing secure-

ly so that it cannot tip over all fall off. The

fan heater should only be operated in an

upright position.

4. Unwind the power cable completely, i.e.

pull the cable completely out of the cable

storage space. If the power cable is not

completely unwound or pulled out this could

lead to overheating and cause a ﬁre.

5. Do not use an extension cable or an inﬁnitely

variable speed regulator, as this could lead

to overheating, a ﬁre or an electric shock.

6. The fan heater must be connected to a

single-phase plug with the voltage as stated

on the type plate of the appliance.

7. Always disconnect the plug from the power

supply when the fan heater is not in use, or

when it is handled, moved, or cleaned. Do

not tug at the cable to unplug the appliance.

8. Do not operate the fan heater anywhere

near inﬂammable gases or substances such

as solvents, paint, glues, etc.

9. Do not install the fan heater directly beneath

a power socket.

10. Do not use the fan heater in close proximity

to a bathtub, a shower or a swimming pool.

11. Do not use the fan heater in any kind of

transport vehicle (e.g. construction vehicle,

elevator, lift, caravan, automobile, cabin) or

similar enclosed space.

12. Warning: The air exhaust opening (2) of the

fan heater gets hot during use (over 80 °C

/ 175 °F). Burnable materials such as cush-

ions, duvets, bedding, furnishings, paper,

curtains, and clothing must be kept at least

100cm away from the fan heater.

13. Keep the fan heater clean. Before operating

the fan heater, make sure that the air intake

vent (11) and the air exhaust vent (2) are

open. No objects must be allowed to get

into the air intake (11) or air exhaust (2)

openings. Do not cover up the fan heater

( at the front of the fan heater), as

this could lead to overheating, ﬁre or an

electric shock.

14. Do not immerse the fan heater in water

or any other liquids and do not spill water

or any other liquid onto the appliance or

into the air intake (11) or air exhaust (2)

openings.

15. Clean the fan heater regularly, paying

attention to the cleaning instructions.

16. If the power cable (12) of the fan heater is

damaged it must be repaired by a work-

shop approved by the manufacturers, as

special tools are needed.

17. Do not start operating the fan heater if it is

damaged or shows any signs of damage,

or if it is not functioning properly.

Disconnect the plug from the power supply.

FIRST TIME OF USE

1. Read all the instructions through before

starting to use the fan heater.

2. Unpack the fan heater and power cable,

remove all packaging materials and dis-

pose of them in an environmentally friendly

manner.

3. Place the fan heater on a ﬁrm, even surface.

Make sure the appliance is standing

securely so that it cannot tip over or fall off.

A safety distance of at least 100 cm from

other objects must be observed

Cable storage space

1. The fan heater has a cable storage space

(13). Push the power cable (12) through

the opening into the storage space, up to

the plug.

2. When you do not wish use the fan heater,

you must pull the power cable (12) out

completely.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

FH-971E Fan Heater with rotary power switch

FH-972E Fan Heater with rotary thermostat switch

FH-973E Fan Heater with power - / thermostat

rotary switch

1. Make sure that the rotary power switch (3)

is in the OFF position (4). Connect the

power plug to the power socket. Do not

touch the power cable with wet hands.

2. Make sure that the air intake vent (11)

and air exhaust vent (2) are not cov-

ered. The air intake vent (11) and air

exhaust vent (2) must always be free

when the fan heater is operating.

3. Use the rotary power switch (8) and/or the

rotary thermostat switch (8) for the heating

operation, depending on the fan heater

model and as described below.

4. Before you move or store the fan heater,

turn the rotary power switch (3) to the OFF

position (4) and unplug the appliance.

Rotary power switch

1. By turning the rotary power switch (3) in a

clockwise direction you can choose

between 4 possible settings:

(O) OFF (4)

( ) Cold air (5)

( ) Warm air 1000 Watt (6)

( ) Hot air 2000 Watt (7)

2. When the rotary power switch (3) is in the

hot air 2000 W position (7), you cannot

turn it further in a clockwise direction, but

have to turn it back in an anticlockwise

direction.

Rotary thermostat switch

1. For model FH-973E, ﬁrst turn the rotary

power switch (3) to a heating setting. For

model FH-972E follow the instructions

starting at 2.

2. Turn the rotary power switch (8) clockwise

to the highest position 7.

3. When the desired room temperature is

reached, turn the rotary thermostat switch

(8) anticlockwise until you hear it click.

Now the fan heater turns the heating

operation off.

4. Now turn the rotary thermostat switch back

(8) clockwise very slightly. The fan heater

will now automatically switch on and off to

maintain the chosen room temperature.

5. The further you turn the rotary thermostat

switch (8) in a clockwise direction, the

higher the room temperature will be. The

highest position 7 corresponds to a room

temperature of about 30°C. The lowest

position ( ) corresponds to a room temper-

ature of about 5 °C.

6. It is normal for the thermostat not to switch

itself on when the room temperature is

more than 30 °C.

7. If the room temperature is less than 5 °C,

the fan heater will heat until the room

temperature has risen to above 5 °C.

8. When the rotary power switch (3) is in the

hot air 2000 W position (7), you cannot

turn it further in a clockwise direction, but

have to turn it in an anticlockwise direction.

Overheating protection

1. The fan heater is equipped with overheat-

ing protection, which automatically switches

the appliance off if it is overheated.

2. In this case, turn the rotary power switch

(3) to the OFF position (4) and unplug the

appliance.

3. Allow the fan heater to cool for at least 20

minutes.

4. If necessary, remove any objects which

have caused faulty operating or overheat-

ing from inside or in front of the air intake

vent (11) or air exhaust vent (2).

5. Restart the fan heater as described in the

„operating instructions“.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

We advise you to clean the fan heater regularly.

So as not to impair the working of the fan heater,

please follow the instructions for cleaning and

maintenance.

Cleaning

1. Before you start cleaning the fan heater,

turn the rotary power switch (3) to the OFF

position (4) and unplug the appliance from

the power supply.

2. Clean the air intake opening (11) and air

exhaust opening (2) with a vacuum cleaner,

so as to remove the dirt from the motor and

heating element.

3. Clean the surface of the fan heater with a

soft, damp cloth.

4. Restart the fan heater as described in the

„operating instructions“.

Maintenance

1. The fan heater does not require special

maintenance.

2. If the fan heater has to be repaired, always

contact an authorised workshop.

3. If the power cable has to be replaced, a

power cable of type 2x1mm2H05VVF

HAR must be used.

CONDITION OF PURCHASE

As condition of purchase the purchaser assumes

responsibility for the correct use and care of this

fan heater according to these operating instruc-

tions. The purchaser or user must himself or her-

self decide when and for how long the fan

heater is to be in operation.

THIS FAN HEATER, PLEASE OBSERVE

THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE GUARAN-

TEE CONDITIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT

WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

Lesen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme des Heizlüfters

alle Anweisungen durch. Bewahren Sie diese

Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig auf.

1. Verwenden Sie den Heizlüfter an einer für

Kinder unzugänglichen Stelle.

2. Verwenden Sie den Heizlüfter nicht im Freien.

3. Stellen Sie den Heizlüfter auf eine ebene,

feste Fläche. Achten Sie auf einen sicheren

Stand, so dass der Heizlüfter weder umfallen

noch herunterfallen kann. Benutzen Sie den

Heizlüfter nur in einer aufrechten Position.

4. Wickeln Sie das Kabel vollständig ab bzw.

ziehen Sie das Kabel vollständig aus dem

Kabelfach. Ein nicht vollständig abgewick-

eltes bzw. herausgezogenes Kabel kann zu

Überhitzung führen und einen Brand verur-

sachen.

5. Verwenden Sie kein Verlängerungskabel

oder stufenlosen Geschwindigkeits-

regler. Dies kann zu einer Überhitzung,

Brand oder Stromschlag führen.

6. Schließen Sie den Heizlüfter nur an eine ein-

phasige Steckdose mit der auf dem Typen-

schild angegebenen Netzspannung an.

7. Ziehen Sie stets den Netzstecker aus der

Steckdose, wenn der Heizlüfter nicht

gebraucht, oder wenn er bewegt, angefasst

oder gereinigt wird. Zum Herausziehen des

Netzsteckers nicht an der Schnur zerren.

8. Verwenden Sie den Heizlüfter nicht in der

Nähe von leicht entﬂammbaren Gasen oder

Stoffen, wie Lösungsmittel, Lacke, Kleber, usw.

9. Stellen Sie den Heizlüfter nicht unmittelbar

unter einer Steckdose auf.

10. Benutzen Sie den Heizlüfter nicht in der

unmittelbaren Nähe eines Bades, einer

Dusche oder eines Schwimmbades.

11. Verwenden Sie den Heizlüfter nicht in

Fahrzeugen aller Art (z.B. Bauwagen, Fahr-

stühlen, Campingwagen, Kraftfahrzeugen,

Kabinen) und ähnlichen, geschlossenen

Räumen.

12. Vorsicht: Die Luftaustrittsöffnung (2) des

Heizlüfters wird während des Betriebes heiß

(mehr als 80 °C bzw. 175 °F). Brennbare

Materialien wie Kissen, Bettzeug, Möbel,

Papier, Gardinen, Kleidung mindestens

100 cm vom Heizlüfter entfernt halten.

13. Halten Sie den Heizlüfter sauber. Stellen

Sie sicher, dass die Lufteintritts- (11) und

-austrittsöffnung (2) geöffnet sind, bevor der

Heizlüfter in Betrieb genommen wird. Keine

Gegenstände in die Lufteintritts- (11) oder

-austrittsöffnung (2) geraten lassen. Decken

Sie den Heizlüfter nicht zu ( auf der

Vorderseite des Heizlüfters). Dies kann

zu einer Überhitzung, Brand oder Strom-

schlag führen.

14. Tauchen Sie den Heizlüfter nicht in Wasser

oder andere Flüssigkeiten ein und schütten

Sie nicht Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten

über das Gerät oder in die Luftein- (11) und

-austrittsöffnung (2).

15. Reinigen Sie den Heizlüfter regelmäßig und

beachten Sie dazu die Reinigungsanleitung.

16. Wenn das Netzkabel (12) des Heizlüfters

beschädigt ist, muss es in einer vom Her-

steller zugelassenen Werkstatt repariert

werden, da Spezialwerkzeug benötigt wird.

17. Nehmen Sie den Heizlüfter nicht in Betrieb,

wenn er beschädigt ist oder Beschädigung-

en aufweisen könnte oder nicht richtig funk-

tioniert. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der

Steckdose.

DEUTSCH

ERSTE INBETRIEBNAHME

1. Lesen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme des

Heizlüfters alle Anweisungen durch.

2. Packen Sie den Heizlüfter und das Netz-

kabel aus, entfernen Sie alle Verpackungs-

materialien und entsorgen Sie diese

umweltgerecht.

3. Stellen Sie den Heizlüfter auf eine ebene,

feste Fläche. Achten Sie auf einen sicheren

Stand, so dass der Heizlüfter weder umfallen

noch herunterfallen kann. Ein Sicherheits-

abstand von mindestens 100 cm von

anderen Gegenständen ist einzuhalten.

Kabelfach

1. Der Heizlüfter ist mit einem Kabelfach (13)

ausgestattet. Schieben Sie das Netzkabel

(12) zur sicheren Aufbewahrung durch die

Öffnung bis zum Netzstecker in das

Kabelfach (13).

2. Wenn Sie den Heizlüfter in Betrieb nehmen

möchten, muss das Netzkabel (12) voll-

ständig herausgezogen sein.

BETRIEBSANLEITUNG

FH-971E Heizlüfter mit Betriebsdrehschalter

FH-972E Heizlüfter mit Thermostatdrehschalter

FH-973E Heizlüfter mit Betriebs- / Thermostat

drehschalter

1. Prüfen Sie, dass der Betriebsdrehschalter (3)

in der Position AUS (4) ist. Stecken Sie den

Netzstecker in die Steckdose. Fassen Sie

das Netzkabel nicht mit nassen Händen an.

2. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Luftein- (11) und

-austrittsöffnung (2) nicht zugedeckt sind.

Die Luftein- (11) und -austrittsöffnung (2)

müssen während des Heizbetriebes immer

frei sein.

3. Benutzen Sie, wie nachfolgend beschrieben,

den Betriebsdrehschalter (3) und/oder den

Thermostatdrehschalter (8) für den Heizbe-

trieb, je nach Modell.

4. Bevor Sie den Heizlüfter bewegen oder

wegräumen, drehen Sie den Betriebsdreh-

schalter (3) auf AUS (4) und ziehen Sie

den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

Betriebsdrehschalter

1. Mit dem Betriebsdrehschalter (3) können

Sie durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn zwi-

schen vier Einstellmöglichkeiten wählen:

(O) AUS (4)

( ) Kaltluft (5)

( ) Warmluft 1000 Watt (6)

( ) Heißluft 2000 Watt (7)

2. Wenn der Betriebsdrehschalter (3) auf der

Position Heißluft 2000 W (7) steht, können

Sie ihn nicht im Uhrzeigersinn weiter dre-

hen, sondern nur gegen den Uhrzeigersinn.

Thermostatdrehschalter

1. Für das Modell FH-973E stellen Sie den

Betriebsdrehschalter (3) zunächst auf eine

Heizstufe ein. Für FH-972E befolgen Sie

die Anweisungen ab 2.

2. Drehen Sie den Thermostatdrehschalter (8)

im Uhrzeigersinn auf die höchste Position 7.

3. Wenn die gewünschte Raumtemperatur

erreicht ist, drehen Sie den Thermostat-

drehschalter (8) gegen den Uhrzeigersinn,

bis Sie ein „Klick“hören. Jetzt schaltet der

Heizlüfter den Heizbetrieb aus.

4. Drehen Sie nun den Thermostatdrehschalter

(8) wieder „ein wenig“im Uhrzeigersinn.

Der Heizlüfter wird den Heizbetrieb nun

automatisch ein- und ausschalten und die

gewählte Raumtemperatur aufrecht erhalten.

5. Je weiter Sie den Thermostatdrehschalter

(8) im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, desto höher

ist die Heiztemperatur. Die höchste Position

7 entspricht einer Raumtemperatur von ca.

30 °C. Die niedrigste Position ( ) ent-

spricht einer Raumtemperatur von ca. 5 °C.

6. Es ist normal, dass der Thermostat bei einer

Raumtemperatur von über 30 °Cden Heiz-

lüfter nicht einschaltet.

7. Ist die Raumtemperatur niedriger als 5 °C,

wird der Heizlüfter so lange heizen, bis die

Raumtemperatur über 5 °C angestiegen ist.

8. Wenn der Thermostatdrehschalter (8) auf

der Position 7 steht, können Sie ihn nicht

im Uhrzeigersinn weiter drehen, sondern

nur gegen den Uhrzeigersinn.

DEUTSCH

KAUFBEDINGUNG

Der Käufer übernimmt als Kaufbedingung die

Verantwortung für die richtige Verwendung

und Pﬂege dieses Heizlüfters gemäß dieser

Bedienungsanleitung. Der Käufer oder Benutzer

mußselbst beurteilen, wann und wie lange er

den Heizlüfter benutzt.

Technische Änderungen vorbehalten.

Überhitzungsschutz

1. Der Heizlüfter ist mit einem Überhitzungs-

schutz ausgestattet, der den Heizlüfter auto-

matisch bei einer Überhitzung ausschaltet.

2. In diesem Fall drehen Sie den Betriebsdreh-

schalter (3) auf AUS (4) und ziehen Sie den

Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

3. Lassen Sie den Heizlüfter nun mindestens

20 Minuten abkühlen.

4. Entfernen Sie jetzt ggf. Gegenstände in oder

vor der Luftein- (11) oder -austrittsöffnung

(2), die den fehlerhaften Betrieb oder die

Überhitzung ausgelöst haben.

5. Nehmen Sie den Heizlüfter wieder in Betrieb,

wie unter „Betriebsanleitung“beschrieben.

REINIGUNG UND WARTUNG

Wir empfehlen, den Heizlüfter regelmäßig zu

reinigen. Um die Funktion des Heizlüfters nicht

zu beeinträchtigen, befolgen Sie bitte die

Anleitungen für Reinigung und Wartung.

Reinigung

1. Bevor Sie mit der Reinigung beginnen, drehen

Sie den Betriebsdrehschalter (3) auf AUS (4)

und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der

Steckdose.

2. Reinigen Sie die Luftein- (11) und -austritts-

öffnung (2) mit einem Staubsauger, um den

Staub vom Motor und Heizelement zu

entfernen.

3. Reinigen Sie den Heizlüfter außen mit einem

weichen, feuchten Tuch.

4. Nehmen Sie den Heizlüfter wieder in Betrieb

wie unter „Betriebsanleitung“beschrieben.

Wartung

1. Der Heizlüfter muss nicht besonders

gewartet werden.

2. Falls der Heizlüfter repariert werden muss,

kontaktieren Sie in jedem Fall einen

autorisierten Fachbetrieb.

3. Falls das Netzkabel ausgetauscht werden

muss, darf nur ein Netzkabel vom Typ

2x1mm2H05VVF HAR verwendet werden.

ACHTUNG: SOLLTEN PROBLEME MIT

DEM HEIZLÜFTER AUFTRETEN, BITTE

DIE ANWEISUNGEN IN DEN GARAN-

TIEBEDINGUNGEN BEACHTEN. BITTE

NICHT VERSUCHEN, DEN HEIZLÜFTER

SELBST ZU ÖFFNEN ODER ZU REPA-

RIEREN, DA DIES ZUM VERFALL DER

GARANTIE FÜHRT UND PERSONEN-

UND SACHSCHÄDEN NACH SICH

ZIEHEN KANN.

INSTRUCTIONS DE SECURITE

IMPORTANTES

Avant la mise en service du radiateur soufflant,

lisez attentivement l'ensemble des instructions.

Conservez soigneusement le présent mode

d'emploi.

1. Utilisez le radiateur soufflant dans un

endroit inaccessible pour les enfants.

2. N'utilisez pas le radiateur soufflant à

l'extérieur.

3. Placez le radiateur soufflant sur une surface

plane et solide. Veillez àce qu'il soit bien

stable aﬁn qu'il ne puisse ni se renverser ni

tomber. N'utilisez le radiateur soufflant

qu'en position debout.

4. Déroulez complètement le cordon ou tirez-le

complètement de son compartiment. Si le

cordon n'est pas déroulécomplètement ou

tirécomplètement de son compartiment, il

peut se produire une surchauffe, ce qui peut

entraîner un incendie.

5. N'utilisez pas de rallonge ni de régleur de

vitesse en continu. Ceci peut entraîner une

surchauffe, un incendie ou une décharge

électrique ou électrocution.

6. Ne raccordez le radiateur soufflant qu'àune

prise àune phase, àla tension de secteur

mentionnée sur la plaque signalétique.

7. Débranchez toujours la prise de la prise

murale si vous n'utilisez pas le radiateur

soufflant, ou pour le déplacer, le toucher ou

le nettoyer. Pour débrancher la prise, ne

jamais tirer sur le cordon.

8. N'utilisez pas le radiateur soufflant àpro-

ximitéde gaz ou de substances facilement

inﬂammables telles que solvants, peintures,

colles, etc…

9. N'installez pas le radiateur soufflant directe-

ment sous une prise de courant.

10. N'utilisez pas le radiateur soufflant àpro-

ximitéimmédiate d'une baignoire, d'une

douche ou d'une piscine.

11. N'utilisez pas le radiateur soufflant dans

des véhicules de tous types (par exemple

véhicule de chantier, ascenseurs, caravanes,

véhicules motorisés, cabines) et autres lieux

fermés comparables.

12. Attention: L'oriﬁce de sortie de l'air (2) du

radiateur soufflant est brûlant pendant le

fonctionnement (plus de 80 °C ou 175 °F).

Tenir éloignés àau moins 100 cm du radia-

teur soufflant les matériaux inﬂammables

tels que oreillers et coussins, draps de lit et

couvertures ou couettes, meubles, papier,

rideaux, vêtements.

13. Tenez le radiateur soufflant propre. Assurez-

vous que les oriﬁces d'entrée (11) et de sor-

tie de l'air (2) sont ouverts avant de mettre

le radiateur soufflant en marche. Veiller à

ce qu'aucuns objets ne pénètrent dans les

oriﬁces d'entrée (11) ou de sortie de l'air

électrocution.

14. Ne plongez pas le radiateur soufflant dans

l'eau ni dans d'autres liquides et ne versez

pas d'eau ni d'autres liquides sur l'appareil

ni dans les oriﬁces d'entrée (11) et de sortie

de l'air (2).

15. Nettoyez régulièrement le radiateur souf-

ﬂant et tenez compte pour cela des instruc-

tions de nettoyage.

16. Si le cordon de branchement (12) du radia-

teur soufflant est endommagé, le faire répa-

rer dans un atelier agréé par le fabricant, des

outils spéciaux étant nécessaires pour cela.

17. Ne mettez pas le radiateur soufflant en ser-

vice s'il est endommagéou pourrait être

endommagéou s'il ne fonctionne pas cor-

rectement. Débranchez la prise de la prise

murale.
